I would choose American Eagle over both of them. Better prices for the same thing. Worked at Hollister for like a month. Worst job Ive ever had. Stopped going in and tried to pick up my last paycheck my sneaking in. Bad luck. The district manager was in there talking on the phone and caught me. Not allowed to work there ever again to say the least. Looks like I'll go hungry.
You mean the dude with the Burnt face from tanning beds? You mean the guy looking very homosexual at the camera? Yeah I remember that dude.
I've been living in philly for 5 weeks now and I've been to 4 different H&Ms. Lets just say they're a Godsend. Low prices + good quality =
The whole idea of spending a lot of money on new clothes that look like old clothes is what kills me. Life is funny.
Hollister is where r****ds roam (not referring to you). I refuse to go in there because everyone that works there seem to have an idiot gene--managers included. I agree with the quality on AE though. It's really durable and isn't prone to fading. I'd actually put their polos on par with Ralph Lauren Polos
I always end up blowing over $100 at H&M whenever I visit a city that has one. Zara is the only comparable place in town, and it's a step up in price
that place ROCKS, everytime i go to New York, I spend about $50-100 there and I get a weeks worth of clothes
That's the one! Although from the responses in this thread, I guess there are plenty of photos of tools wearing the same uniform.
not really a big fan of a lot of the shirts. i'm a semi-prep though, so i don't go around in full prep mode with shirts that say Aeropostale, Abercrombie on them lol most of my stuff comes from dilliards actually, but then again I buy stuff like Trailer, Daniel Cremieux, Lucky Brand, FOX, Nautica, Ralph Lauren, etc. So it's the same shorts etc as the abercrombies, aeropostales, etc when you buy from dilliards. they're comfortable as hell. about the only thing that i hate is the ****ing cameo, camoflague, etc colors on the shorts. that and the shirts that are walking billboards for their companies. i'm down with letting someone know that my shirt/shorts from somewhere... but a small inconspicious "quiksilver" or "american eagle" will do.
no one over the age of 18 should wear anything from either of those places. i actually remember when AF sold nice clothes... khakis, button down shirts, polos, sweaters, etc. still have some of it, actually. this was like 8 or 9 years ago, of course. i wear nothing but brioni suits now, however.
I can't wear anything smaller than 3XL, so I probably can't buy anything there. Polo, Nautica, Dockers, and clothes with real subtle brand names like "Big Daddy" are about all I buy.
I can't stand those kinds of stores. My biggest problem with the Hollister thing is that everybody is wearing this "California" stuff (that literally says "California" on it) without ever having been to California. So stupid.
urban outfitters is a tight store. except for the fake vintage stuff they sell. i like the more athletic brands, adidas and puma, but not the stuff they sell at sporting goods stores or department stores. has to be the old school logo for adidas with the trefoil instead of the 3 stripes. i dont think ralph lauren polos will ever go out of style or get too overly trendy. you see alot of the AF, AE, Hollister polos and then the Lacoste stuff. Seems like nobody likes the classics anymore. express is ok. not what it used to be IMO, but they have nice stuff for work at decent prices like khakis and dress shirts. guess has some good quality stuff, although its a little overpriced IMO. good thing they have sales. H&M is good value. the quality isnt anything to really brag about, but its not bad at all. probably the most bang for your buck out there.
