They are more like ****ing sheep, just doing what MTV advertising fueled by specialization groups suggested in the 90s.

What was the entire purpose of the anti-smoking campaigns? Prove smoking was dangerous so people could sue Big Tobacco for billions.

    Robots.

    All of you.

Actually thats too kind... Robots can be reprogrammed. You cannot.

Like I said, I am not 'anti-smoking' I don't care who smokes or what, I am fine with building private areas so that people can go smoke there. That said, I find the smell nauseating and hate I have to be exposed to it out on the street. When any action has a negative impact directly just on people walking by, then you have to do something about it. You have a right to smoke, I respect that, but when it comes to affecting people aroudn you, just make private areas in public or outdoors for them to enjoy their smoke and it not affect others.

Its not about propoganda or whatever else you are saying or even anti smoking. Merely its a habit that is unpleasant for a considerable amount of people and tehre fore that is a good solution.

So people should be under restriction of law because it "smells bad" to you and therefore inconveniences you? Got it.

I'm going to replace one word in your above statement now.

    Based on SPF35's logic...

You're a ****ing idiot. The harm that banning tobacco and alcohol would do to people is far greater than the harm of the substances themselves. Seems like ****ing idiots would prefer we conduct all exchanges in black markets.

    Preach.

Don't forget the taxes.... Smokers may add to health care costs but I would have to imagine the tax revenue off tobacco is astronomical.

I will never understand why they don't do the same thing with mar1juana.

I just don't understand why the government has to get involved. Why can't the business owners decide if they want a smoking or non smoking establishment? I never had a problem in the past with the smoking or non smoking section.

Basically, when they answer like this, they are entrenched in their view and ignorant to see a simple solution. This is something that allows people who want to smoke to smoke in these designated areas and those that do not like the smell, feel sick from the smell get their everyday freedom of just walking around and not worrying about it. Its not ideal, but it is a simple way and both people get their spaces and ability to do their aciton without anyone getting hurt.

Sounds like you need to relax with the cool and refreshing indulgence of a smoke.

I think you missed who that rant was aimed at. I'd like a blunt with some purple.

Interesting. I feel the same way about street vendors burning flesh for people to eat on a stick. And about the exhaust of burning flesh that comes out of restaurants. Nauseating, disgusting, makes me want to projectile vomit at every meat eater walking out of the restaurant. I feel the same way when visiting a restaurant and having to endure a sizzling, smoking fajita plate.

So you're bothered by a burning plant and I'm bothered by a burning animal. I think we're both going to have to live with it as long as both are legal.

I agree that the black market created in banning anything is worse than legalization in general and if you go looking you'll find I've expressed a desire for legalization of all drugs, prostitution and gambling in many D&D threads. I am typically whole hog Libertarian on these points. I was merely pointing out how stupid it was that weed was illegal and tobacco and alcohol were not.

And prostitution and gambling and all other drugs and all other victimless habits. Prohibition empowered the mafia beyond belief. So now we have killings instead of people getting high and revenues going to criminals rather than the government.
