    1) We have no bench. Given that, I hope we don't burn out our starters to an injury which would be even more catastrophic.

    2) Flexibility won't equal wins. This is preseason and I from what I can see, we don't have a roster that can compete - we have a roster meant to competitive and yet pounce on a disgruntled or ill-fitting star. I fear we are really missing out on building the best team we can because we are looking for this elusive 3rd star.

Last night Howard didn't play, and Terrence Jones & D-Mo combined for 39 minutes and THREE REBOUNDS!

So, Howard needs to really be careful with getting into foul trouble this year. His 1 preseason game he fouled out in the beginning of the 3rd quarter.

I don't see it that way.. I see us being a PF away from having a very nice team..

Not really worried about the pg position since we have Terry and he can play the point or we can move him to the sg and harden can play the point..

But that PF position is going to be critical...

I agree, and that's pretty mind blowing, in my humble opinion. I'm very comfortable with Ariza and Kostas holding down the 3 spot, with Kostas moving to the 4 in smaller lineups, as Parsons used to. Who would have thought that right after losing Parsons? Big hole at backup point, big hole at backup center. Where's the cement, Daryl? Gotta do something about those holes.

Nick Johnson can't play pg. We have no backup center. Ariza is going to be a great fit.

Yep, Pop looks like a starter, even if he is small for a PF. That's a nice lineup with him at the 4.

I'm really liking the way Daniels and Papanikolaou play.

Every time Daniels shoots a 3, I expect it to go in. Seems like the moment he steps on the court, he's in shooting range. He also seems to keep the ball moving when he's not shooting, so that's cool too. Haven't paid too much attention to his defense, but I haven't seen any major breakdowns or ridiculous blown assignments.

Papanikolaou has really surprised me. I expected just a 3 and D type of player, but he's capable of making plays on his own and for others. Old man style game. If only he shot his freethrows granny style.
