The Rockets must watch out for flopping in the paint, they will look to draw charges in the paint. Guaranteed. Big Baby, Rivers, JJ Reddick, CP3, Blake Griiffin, and even DeAndre will all look to turn our aggressiveness against us. I expect tons of flying bodies.

Getting Jordan into foul trouble is not going to be as easy as some of you think. This game is going to be very difficult for us.

    Brewer needs to guard Paul

Regardless of which position they play, Brewer or Ariza needs to guard Paul.

Without Bev, McHale needs to narrow the rotation down to 8 players.

    Depth chart and rotation:

    SF: Trevor Ariza, Corey Brewer
    PF: Josh Smith, Terrence Jones
    C: Dwight Howard, Clint Capela
    SG: James Harden, Corey Brewer
    PG: Jason Terry, James Harden

Pablo sucks. Can Bev give it a go? We just need his defense. Why not?

When TD came back from China, Morey should have signed him. Pissed that he didn't. Now we're stuck with Pablo for 15-20 minutes of missed shots and matador defense.

    Anyone is better than Pablo.

Yeah, Josh was better on Griffin. But in the postgame press conference, McHale indicated that he played Josh, at least in part, to facilitate this play:

“Josh is one of our better passers. And with them putting two on the ball, we just wanted to try to get the ball out, and the next guy make the next play. And he did a good job of that.”

Personally, I think Josh's downside is so high, with wasted possessions on ill-advised passes and shots and free-throw misses, that I'd let him walk rather than pay him much more than he's making now. (Brewer's the keeper.) But if they're gonna double Harden off the pick every time, then this is the play that makes sense, and the best guy to put in the lineup to become the intermediate passer is Josh.

Harden should post at the elbow

I was wondering why the Rockets dont post harden at the elbow like he did earlier in the year. He will make Reddick play def and have the clippers scramble due to his passing skills if he doesnt turn it over. Go with a smaller lineup with spacing and have Howard as the center of course.

    Thoughts?

Toney Douglas came back from China this year. New Orleans signed him. Morey didn't. Is Morey an idiot?

    TD > Pablo

yes, and though his best move from that position is the stepback, i'm fine with it. i'd like to see him go for midrange, pull up jumpers if they're not going to call fouls.

    1. Attack the rim early and keep attacking. We get too tentative when we get a few blocked in the first quarter.

    2. Get DeAndre in foul trouble.

    3. Good production from role players/limit Clippers role players.

    4. Make 70%+ from the free throw line.

    5. STOP TAKING QUICK SHOTS. This works sometimes at home but in LA we need to slow the pace a little and be smarter with the shot selection. This allows us to get back defensively even on a miss.
