and I meant 7 or 8 wins not a 7-8 record just in case someone here thinks they have caught me making a math mistake. (I know we have a few of those types)

We'll probably start off with 7 wins in the first 12 games. We are going to play some very tough teams in San Antonio, Utah, Memphis (lost twice to them in pre-season), Phoenix and Dallas. Its a pretty tough start to the season but i think we can finish the first 12 games with a winning record.
We'll win at least one game we were supposed to lose, and lose at least one game we were supposed win. That's the difference between Van Gundy and Adelman.
Wow, tough start to the season. I don't put anything into the pre-season, but at the same time this team has to learn a new system so it will take time to adjust. If the players can gel quickly I can see 7+ wins. As long as the Rockets aren't getting blown out I'll be happy.
we will kick butt from day 1...dont read anything good or bad into preseason...it means nothing...we will have the lakers down big at half tomorrow night
the first month won't be indicative of how the rockets will be at the end. It's going to take half a season or more to really get everyone clicking in the new offense. regardless, rockets should be top 4 when it is all said and done. whether rockets do well or not, i personally will not make much of a judgement until after allstar break.
i think 9 is the absolute max we can win in the first 12 games. that's if we play good, but i think we'll ony play decent and win 7 games.

If Dallas have another poor start then I'll say 7 wins.

I will be ecstatic even if they just win the 6 home games here.
8 wins out of 12 would be great with all the tough teams the Rockets will play early, they have to get it done against the weaker teams, thats the priority. Lets hope that they will beat the Spurs and the Mavs at least once ! They are capable to beat any team. BTW, this is my first post, just letting you know that Im really happy to be here
