There is some severely skewed bias in here man... Yao??? Ya'll crazy fools. Mad Max, Dream, Elie, Horry, all way more clutch than anybody on the Rox right now. Francis ranks pretty high though too, and Mobley is next, Yao should be nowhere near them... at least not yet.

Agreed, how many clutch shots has Yao taken? I am not talking about FT's...I am talking about shots. Like a clutch 3....like Eddie (not Griffen). HOrry, is the was clutch for the rockets, and now he is for LA, the dude has 5 rings, and it's not becuase of luck. Teams want a guy like Rob because of his clutchness. His abillity to hit the needed shot.

I am a Yao fan, dont get me wrong, but Yao is not our clutchest player to HAVE EVER played for the rocks...by far. He usually gets STRIPPED when the game is on the line.

I bet Yao would win in a poll for best three point shooter on the team...

All *Stars* game is a popular game. It's base on which player the fans want to see. It has nothing to do with his stats. If it said NBA *BEST PLAYERS* game or something like that and Yao got voted in then I will have a problem with that.

Please don't discredit him if you have not watched him played in all of the Rockets closed game this year.

I understand the reasons why most people voted for Yao in this poll, because they saw in his poise and his demeanor. Even MoT recognized this and said he's going to be the man and a big time player.

Yao is a rookie and we expect him to make rookie mistakes and getting no calls from the refs. Despite all of that Yao still manage to be consistently clutched in a closed game this year. How many times have we seen him, made a big stop, a keyed block, rebounds, free throws, a perfect screen, or a great pass to help his team have a chance to win in crunch time?

I only consider three players in this poll, Cat, Steve, and Yao because they are the present Rockets and they have not finished their careers yet. Other players are in the no longer a Rocket or have done playing so it's irrelevant and unfair to make a comparison to players who are not even close in their prime yet.

I voted for Steve because he's also clutched but he has more experience than Yao, but once Yao has a few years of experience under his belt, that may change his status.

Yao will soon make your statement obsolete the same way he did to those who labeled him a bust.

Yeah, you're missing a few good ones, but you got the one who really counts. In the clutch, you gotta go with your bread & butter. Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon.

One, being the man and taking a clutch shot are not one and the same. Horry is clutch as can be, but I don't think anyone would consider him the 'man.'

Two, you talk about setting screens and key defensive plays as clutch. Well, the poll if you hadn't noticed is Your Pick for a clutch SHOT. Yao cannot create his own shot under pressure, although he's money from the FT line when it counts. I wouldn't necessarily put the ball in his hands on a last possession play, at least not yet.

And lastly, WTF? You can't compare them to players in the past? It's not like a fantasy one on one thing or who would win if the Rockets met the Bulls in the finals, it's simply comparing players and looking back on what they did as a player in clutch situations. And considering Yao really hasn't had any of those, I can't understand how anyone but Yao only fans would vote for him.

When you click on "New Topic," scroll down to options and you will see something that asks you if you want to post a poll.
