Gold - Argentina Silver - USA Bronze - Spain 4th - Greece The Australia game really makes me think the US is still not put together well, we need guys that are good team players, not individuals. And I think Spain, Argentina and Greece all play better as a team, than the USA. DD
Oh, your prediction is dangerous, Yao said he would retire if China could pull out a win over US, your scenario forces Yao into a early retirement. Let us try this: Gold: China Silver: USA or Angola .... No virtual damage!
Gold: USA Silver: Spain Bronze: Greece 4th: Argentina I don't think Argentina has it this year. Something doesn't feel right with their team. Maybe it's because Pepe Sanchez isn't playing. They aren't clicking and it shows.
I agree ( I´m argentinian). We are a couple of steps behind USA, Spain, Greece and even Lithuania this year. Not only that...Manu is on a bad ankle.
I did not get a chance to watch the game today, how did our boy Brad do? Did he do enough to get a invite to camp or does he still look no where close to Nba ready.
If he comes to camp, then we can't send him overseas for the next season and retain his rights. So the only way he comes to camp this season is if he's guaranteed of making the top 15. Since we have 17 players currently under contract, I'd be highly surprised to see Newley get an invite to camp this season purely from an 'asset management' point of view. I imagine he'll come over and play summer league next season and we'll be able to see what he's got.
Gold:USA(no doubt they have a good leader plus watching ESPN's Road To Redemption made me think about Team USA winning.) Silver:Argentina Bronze:Spain or China
I would love to see a Spain-Argentina semi-final. That would be crazy! I can imagine bodies flying all over the place in that game and we can finally prove that Scola>>Gasol
I hope the US wins. There's no reason why the best players in the world can't get it done. The Australia game was pretty ugly, but then again the Aussies were whipping Argentina until Scola suddenly morphed into this guy...
No love for the Aussies? Good, I am happy we're the underdog. We are in an insanely tough pool, so advancing to the medal rounds would be a dream. Hoping the boys can somehow pull off some wins though, Bball in Australia really needs them to do well.
