I get it. American are slobs. We're breaking away too much from our evolutionary design, the body is designed for movement not being idle, fat people have a higher carbon footprint on the world, etc etc... It simply comes down to all technological and industrial advancement is counterproductive, its demonized us all, and we need to go back. For all the things you're "supposed" to do, there's a big long list right behind it of what you "shouldnt" be doing. The ultimate solution is give everyone an acre of land, yank the cars, farm and ranch and grow your own. Some people have just thrown their arms in the air and said ah f--k it whats the use. Let me die early so I dont have to hear any more of this sh--
I'll add that I'm not against the findings so much. Dont knock it until you tried it. I've worked jobs on my feet and the current one where I'm always sitting. The on my feet job "felt" much better, cant lie. Was more alert and focused, all of that stuff. I've thought of many ways at work to increase movement. I've started walking during breaks. I myself am a couch potato now. Just tired of the new elite force organic life fanatics who think they're doing something better for the world and all that crap. These mf-ers who swear they're living life better than the resting man. Just shut up already... lol. But it still takes a lot of early adopters and making the products cheaper to popularize it. Please do it, before its "too late" and humanity faces "dire consequences" like dying of complications to Diabetes instead of dying of complications to Alzheimer's.
I'm thinking about getting a big stability ball and sit on it. I'm not sure if it will make any difference? I can't imagine sitting on it for 8 hours.
