Well, I decided to blow up the team and go extra young (all my players have a B- or better potential). I'm still $4M over the cap, but have 7 picks in the next 2 years (2011: 1st round pick Cavs, 2nd round pick Cavs & Raptors; 2012: 1st round pick Cavs & Suns, 2nd round pick Cavs & Hawks). Lineup: Lowry/Bayless Martin/Fernandez/McCants G. Wallace/T. Williams J. Smith/Patterson/J. Hill Oden/Thabeet Championship contender for sure.
I love being realistic with association thats what makes it fun... Noah/Hickson/Asik Boozer/Gibson Deng/McGrady Brewer/Korver Rose/Watson Haven't made too many moves because i liked my team..currently 1st in East..2 games ahead of heat and 3 games ahead of celtics with a month left till playoffs....offseason looking to acquire a two way shooting guard
Paul / Brooks Eric Gordon / Landry Fields TWill / Turkoglu / Budinger Griffin / Landry Stoudemire / Millsap I did NOT cheat to get this lineup
Brooks/Lowry Martin/Lee/Taylor Battier/Budinger Scola/Hill/Patterson/Jeffries/Pendergraph Yao/Hayes/Miller Yeah, not much of a change. In the middle of December, holding the 8th seed. Signed Pendergraph, seemed like a good young talent. He's in the D-League atm. I'm looking to make a major shakeup, around the half-way point. I want to trade Brooks away for an upgrade at the 3 position. Gerald Wallace is in my sights atm. I want Lowry to take the reins and let him use his passing and defensive abilities as best as he can. So, I've compiled this theoretical deal - Brooks, Budinger, Hill, and Jeffries for Gerald Wallace, Matt Carroll, and Dominic McGuire. The Bobcats have a roleplayer starting for them in DJ Augustine. Giving them Brooks would keep them playoff-bound (They're 7th atm), while adding another scorer. Bud is a young talent for them to develop, and I hate to see him go. Giving up Hill wasn't too hard for me, as I now can place Patterson firmly in the backup 4 position. The Bobcats had traded away Nazr Mohammed and Derrick Brown for Josh Childress. With obtaining Hill, they can now move Thomas back to the 4 and place Hill in at Center. Gerald Wallace is a great defender and rebounder, and I now have an awesome defensive duo in Wallace and Battier. Not to mention Lowry plays much more now, . I have no real use for either McGuire or Carroll, just fillers. I plan to either (A) Sign Jamaal Tinsley from the FA pool or (B) Put Lee in as backup PG and sign a wing to backup Martin. So, after the trade: Rockets: Lowry/FA OR Lee Martin/ Lee OR FA/Taylor/Caroll Wallace/Battier Scola/Patterson/McGuire/Pendergraph Yao/Hayes/Miller Martin and Yao dominate (Both had a combined 67 points in a OT win over the Lakers) and Scola is a very good 3rd option. Lowry is a great passer and I think Wallace will add on to the lineup with his rebounding, slashing, and defense. As for the bench, I want to develop Patterson into "Landry 2.0". Lee and my FA will provide the rest of the bench points, with Battier and Hayes chippin in but mostly grabbing the rebounds and playing defense. Thoughts?
Billups/Lowry Martin/Brooks Battier/Buddinger Scola/Patrick P, Jordan Hill Nene/Brad Miller I dont really use chuck hayes, he's useless to me in this game. had an existing season where I was like 14-2 but then I had some kind of record glitch and it resetted my record to 4-0 and from that point on every game would automatically add like 1 win and 2 losses to my record. I had to restart my association, anyone else have this problem? Anyways, i simulated this season to get back to where I was before but i'm like 21-19 now. Billups has made some huge shots for me, and i'm winning big for the most part against weaker teams. I may have to move to all star mode because i'm currently playing on whatever the default is. Martin tears it up every game, once you learn his release, he is money from 3.
Ricky Rubio/ Ish Smith/ Shaun Livingston Kevin Martin/ Courtney Lee/ Terrence Williams Carmelo Anthony/ Jonas Jerebko/ Paul George Patrick Patterson/ Jordan Hill Yao/ Some Russian Rookie/ Joel Przybilla I mostly simulate the games. Last "season" my team went to all the way to the NBA Finals, only to lose Kevin Martin and Yao (no surprise) to injuries in Game 1. They lost 4-2 to the Atlanta Hawks.
hey just wondering, how did u manage to snag melo? And how ya get a high first round pick..or did ya make rubio?
I don't exactly remember. I'm in like my 3rd or 4th season with the team. I know I traded Brooks and Scola for him. As for Rubio, there was an option to edit the rookies. I took one of the CPU created rookies and changed his name and attributes to resemble Rubio.
I just pulled off a trade with memphis to trade Lowry/buddinger, patterson for M Gasol/X. Henry/ Tony Allen Now my rotation looks like Billups/Brooks Martin/ Tony Allen Battier/ X. henry Scola/J Hill M Gasol/Nene/Miller I think I gained some size here and I never really could use lowry anyways, his scrapiness and tough play in real life doesn't realy translate into the game. in the game brooks is better just because I can score with him. Hated giving up patterson, buddinger didn't do much for me anyways

Well, sittin still in the 8th seed, 3.5 games behind 7th, I decided to pull the trigger. Aaron Brooks + Chase Budinger + Jared Jeffires for Gerald Wallace and Dominic McGuire AND Jordan Hill and '11 2nd Round Pick for Jason Williams + Malik Allen + '11 Second Round Pick I now have a new, improved 'Artest' mold player who can defend wings and bigmen and can score and rebound. An all-around good player. J-Will still has a lot in the tank and I like his passing and 3-pt ability. Lowry now has a time to shine, as I was getting absolutely killed by opposing point guards when Brooks was in. With Lowry, I have a better passer and a great defender at the 1. Trading Hill gives Patterson, who I think is more polished on both ends, a chance to shine. Battier sits and provides the bench with a good defender, ballhander, and a surprisingly good rebounder. Red Rockets are going to rise up the ranks with this team. Thoughts?
I just finished my season with a 4-0 sweep of the celts. My draft picks are numbers: 2, 6, 7, 8, 11, 13, 16. Looks like I'll be doing well for a good few seasons.
