Do you guys ever play trying to stay under the cap? I'll take it as a no seeing the names on your rosters. Why dont you try that challenge.
Staying under the cap isn't too difficult. I did a bunch of trades (with no overrides) with my first Association team and stayed over the cap, but got like 5-7 first round lottery team picks. That second season would've gotten me way under the cap with all the rooks and expiring vets. Then that kinda got too easy, so I started a new Association mode.
Yes there is, try harder. Have never used that option, nor do I know how. It took me about 20 or so trades to make it happen.
I'm usually under the cap, or at least comply with league rules. I do turn off CPU trading, because I hate seeing Boozer traded for Douglas-Roberts, and all sorts of rubbish.
My Team is.. PG- AB SG- D-wade SF- Granger PF- Carl Landry C- Javale Mcgee Bench -DJ Augustin - JJ Reddick -Brandon Rush -Chuck Hayes -Kyle Korver -Courtney Lee -Deandre Jordan -and a few others...
Dude. I won the championship, lol. Lee averaged: 12.6 PPG, 5.2 APG, 5.3 RPG, 2.4 SPG, 1.9 BPG. He won DPOY.
if you show me how to to get that line up using the rockets, without override, i will donate 20 bucks to the tip jar. cause i call major bs
1-AB 2-Kmart 3-W.Chandler 4-Z. Randolph 5-A. Bogut Bench 6-T. Williams 7-K. Lowry 8-P. Patterson 9-T. Chandler
I don't remember every single move... and you'd have to build up your team in year 1. This is the second year team... 1st year I had Scola as an All-Star (I think I got him to around 84). I traded Martin for Rip Hamilton and made him pretty good (I believe it was 78 to 85). The Melo trade happened in Year 2 with Yao and someone else for Melo and Afflalo. Traded Scola and Hamilton later 2nd year for Kobe (tried getting him first year but he used his no trade clause). I got J.O. and Shaq in one trade to Boston year one for Nenad Kristic (apparently they Shaq and JO were on the block at the trade deadline... forgot how I acquired Kristic). There's a few more trades I did... I just don't remember everything off the top of my head... especially since year 1 was pretty much the first month I got the game. I will say this, you cannot make these trades happen without building up players. My last trade was Chuck Hayes for D.J. Augustin (who isn't really that great).
1st season and second season is easy but seasons after that, when almost all teams are WAAAY over he cap it gets hard
I'm assuming it's hard to trade with a team over the cap. I guess in that case, I should trade for as many 3rd season picks as possible on my second season. I'm far from a 3rd season, but are the AI teams that dumb that they all get nose-deep into cap trouble?
How long ago did you make these moves? There was a glitch in the game where you could make unrealistic trades because the game overvalued cap relief. Kobe, for instance, is easy to get because of his high contract (obviously since you traded Scola and Rip for him) and not that easy to move for someone of equal value. I noticed this after trying to make some other moves that were even more ridiculous I traded for Joe Johnson for expirings and got Durant just by taking another bad contract back.
About two weeks before Christmas. I can kind of agree on that, trades do seem a lot easier than 2k10. I honestly thought they had improved association so well that you couldn't make unrealistic trades whatsoever.
NBA draft ratings are so inconsistent. Some draft you will see a bunch of 80s in the top 10. Another will be a bunch of lower 70s. Sometimes, I like editing the draft player to see what his overall is. That's how I scout.
