Sheila Jackson Lee is a putrid stain on the good name of this city. It comes as no surprise that she is abusing the system. Watch her cry victim in short order -- a predictable outcome...

In the interest of fairness and honor, The_Conquistador tips his helmet to SJL for sticking with Hillaroid during the Dem primary. Kudos to her for having the foresight to recognize that Barakka Dukakka was an outright fraud and unfit for the office of President.

Her nonsense has been reported on here for years, as well. Even Jeff can't stand her, and I think he's just underneath you in his political beliefs.

If you don't know about all of her crap, don't defend her. It will end up making you look foolish.

Complete side note to the discussion at hand, I actually used to work at her Congressional office.

She is uhm.. interesting. I can definitely see why she's as powerful as she is. She's a very aggressive personality and just bullies other members of Congress. I remember the staff just being terrified of her. Literally you had to guess if she was calling the office. If you heard her voice, you transferred her to the right person immediately, no questions asked. And if you had the nerve to ask who was on the phone (when she called), expect to hear a lot of incoming anger on the phone.

I just remember as being the only Indian kid on a staff that was mostly African American, she used to have me come to all of her press conferences and photo-ops to show off diversity or something. I did get to meet a lot of other congressmen and senators and other really powerful people which was cool.

But bottom line, office morale there was utterly horrible, as that staff was just horrified of her 24/7 and after fininshing any phone call with her you'd expect an employee to come out into the hall shouting many expletives or in some cases just crying. Hence I stopped working there after half a year.

Although this is waaaaay off topic, I read his subsequent post in that thread regarding Paul Milsap (who Portland made an offer to) and understood it to mean that if Milsap was signed by Portland, Pryzbilla became an option. Once Milsap was matched by Utah, the thread became moot.

Didn't you read it that way as well?

This is considerably more on topic than some of the other posts.

I booed this sorry sack of feces a few years back at the VCSA luncheon to honor the Vietnamese-American kids that are valecditorian or salutatorian here in Houston. The b**** hijacked the event and pushed her agenda and one of them was immigration reform....you all should know by now where she went with this issue.

It never ceased to amaze me that these politicians are just public servants, elected by the people yet they walk around us thinking they are the second coming!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol. Ah, memories. I was wondering why I recalled Jeff's view on SJL, so I revisited the thread that I posted above. Turned out he was responding to me talking about the same Press article waaaay back in 2000!

BJ, just do a quick search on here on Sheila Jackson Lee if you'd like to see her history of behavior. This was by no means an isolated incident. She pops up on here with a horror story of her behavior annually.

I wish I could find like a blurb about Fatty playing a gig like in the Houston Press archives.

I thought his post was pretty obvious

Why troll him in this thread? He can get inside info and I hope he will post it here in the future.....

S.J.L. IS terrible. I hate communicating or dealing with her (or her office) in any way.

    +1

I witnessed very similar shameless BS during my brother's high school graduation, earlier this year. Its amazing how she can twist any and every opportunity towards her own political agenda. Before that incident I used to admire her for her tenacity and accomplishments, afterwards I was too disgusted w/ her to give a damn anymore.
