tmac was as healthy as he could be the entire season. hindsight is 20/20 but we didnt know how bad/crappy he felt at the time. we were BLOWN out and it wasnt close at all. tmac, 1-11. yao ming 17-18 points. everyone did crappy and only ab0 had a decent/good game. we werent contenders, we arent contenders. forget about all the "well if tmac is healthy, we're contenders"

it's like saying if ab0 was cp3, we'd be contenders. well, ab0 isnt and mcgrady will never be healthy.

Highest:we knocked the Spurs out in SA and got away with a W then take the sole 1st place of the division(though it's slipped away again the other night)

Lowest:we blew out the large lead against the Bulls in the 4th and lost to 'em.That shoulda been a 7th win in a row instead of a LOSS.

Lowest point: McGrady announcing he's getting season-ending surgery on his website, and Adelman and the Rockets' reaction to it. The whole fiasco made me realize a McGrady-led Rockets team will never go very far.

Highest point: The win over the Celtics at Boston without McGrady. I think it gave the team much-needed confidence and belief that even without their "leader," they can compete with the best. Looking back, it was a very important win.

Highest- the victory against the Spurs in San Antonio. I was at the game.

Lowest- Tie- Home losses to Indiana Pacers and Washington Wizards. I was at both of the games.

The McGrady drama is in a separate category. I know he has not handled things well, but the hate for him here on this board just boggles my mind. To think that we are a better team without a healthy McGrady is beyond ridiculous.

I thought about that, but I think that was before we really knew how good the lakers were. In hindsight, it really wasn't that bad a loss.

Ditto. Agree entirely there. That Bulls loss had me in a pissed off mood for couple of days.

    Highest: Probably the Cavs game.

Lowest: Milwaukee. I was listening to this game on the radio. I was cussing up a storm the time I was in the drive-thru.

Honorable mention: The first time we lost the Memphis this season.

Highest: Probably the last win over the Spurs, or the Cavs blowout.

Lowest: Easily the meltdown in Chicago. That pissed me off a great deal, capped by watching the Bulls big men celebrating like they just won the championship.

We're definitely a better team with a healthy McGrady, but a team that has McGrady as its leader has serious limitations.

But that argument is a dead horse, so let's just leave it at that.

This post is completely correct. It is hard to believe that some of the member of this forum are actually Rocket fans. If you hate the players, go do something else you enjoy and stop watching Rockets basketball. McGrady has done many good things for the Rockets. If he is done, remember the incredible plays he had. He may not be able to return to the NBA after his surgery, and that is not good for the Rockets if that is the case.

Thats a great mention of a lowpoint precursor. San Antonio's a team Rox fans pay attention to, as evidenced by the many times a victory over SA's mentioned as a high point. I think that was the game that officially launched the GARM into attack mode for this season. That miserably FLAT 4th quarter exposed all the flaws of the team at that time.

(Ironically it was Brooks 1st start of the season and showed a need for Rafer.)
