Mine was prolly sumthin gay like Warrant-Cherry Pie or Poison-Flesh and Blood or maybe it was Beastie Boys-Licensed to Ill whichever of those released first was prolly it.
The first one I ever owned I got it free, it was The Roaches and the name of the record was Nurds. The first on I bought was Diver Down by Van Halen.
My girlfriend is only 18 and this is her 1st album she ever bought. This was the first album I ever bought. Man I am still mad they are famous for the worst song on their album. They were so much better than that.
Wow, that was mine, too. My sister didn't want it anymore and gave it to me. First album I ever bought was ELO "Time". I didn't buy a CD until the early '90's, but I saw Bullet La Volta's self-titled debut in a bargain bin and snatched it up as the first CD I ever bought.
I can't really remember what my first album, tape, and CD was but I am thinking it was these: Album - "Thriller" (I think it really was my sister's but we shared it) Tape - "Biz Goin' Off" - Biz Markie (something like that) or it might have been "Fat Boys Are Back" or even "Radio" by LL Cool J (did I mention I was a huge old school rap fan in junior high school?) CD - As for CDs, it was probably something I bought in college or grad school (I took a long time to buy CDs) and probably something pop like Celine Dion's 2nd album (self-titled). Now, I can't stop buying CDs! Right, Fatty??
first two tapes i ever bought, or actually my dad got them for me. i remember i really wanted the kriss kross(i was a little kid!) tape but earlier in school some kid had played me don't cry and i thought it was awesome so i convined my dad to get me both.
I'm not counting anything before high school, and the day I purchased my first CD player. I christened my new stereo by purchasing Counting Crows - August and Everything After. It's still one of my favorite records.
First album - Grease soundtrack (I think) First cassette - ZZ Top Eliminator (I think) First CD - Pink Floyd The Wall and REM Document (both Christmas gifts)
