This was awesome. I played it outside on a hot day once and it melted. :(

The first one I ever owned I got it free, it was The Roaches and the name of the record was Nurds. The first on I bought was Diver Down by Van Halen.

My girlfriend is only 18 and this is her 1st album she ever bought.

This was the first album I ever bought. Man I am still mad they are famous for the worst song on their album. They were so much better than that.

Wow, that was mine, too. My sister didn't want it anymore and gave it to me.

First album I ever bought was ELO "Time".

I didn't buy a CD until the early '90's, but I saw Bullet La Volta's self-titled debut in a bargain bin and snatched it up as the first CD I ever bought.

I can't really remember what my first album, tape, and CD was but I am thinking it was these:

Album - "Thriller" (I think it really was my sister's but we shared it)
Tape - "Biz Goin' Off" - Biz Markie (something like that) or it might have been "Fat Boys Are Back" or even "Radio" by LL Cool J (did I mention I was a huge old school rap fan in junior high school?)
CD - As for CDs, it was probably something I bought in college or grad school (I took a long time to buy CDs) and probably something pop like Celine Dion's 2nd album (self-titled).

    Now, I can't stop buying CDs! Right, Fatty??:p :D ;)

I'm not counting anything before high school, and the day I purchased my first CD player. I christened my new stereo by purchasing Counting Crows - August and Everything After. It's still one of my favorite records.
