4-12. Carr 16 TD 12 Int. Mario Williams 4 sacks. Reggie Bush wins offensive rookie of the year.......oops.
yea if I had to pick a rookie that had the best chances of winning OFFENSIVE rookie of the year, i would pass on Mario and go for Bush as well
Apparently you did when you predicted Bush's Offensive Rookie of the Year honors even before he took a snap in a regular season game. We drafted Mario. Stop sipping the hate.
Some of y'all must be experts or at least think you are ... 4-12? 5-11? Sans any major injuries those record predictions are a joke. Maybe you havent read the roster ... Eric Moulds, N D Kalu, Anthony Weaver, Mike Flanigan. These guys arent stiffs! Top 5 draft in NFL much to y'alls chagrin we didnt take the Bush man yeah I would have liked to seen him here too. But, how excited would you get about losing 38-35; 42-41. Shortterm-keep hope alive; longterm-we cant stop anyone. We are in the wrong division to be in THAT place. Remember we want to be a PLAYOFF team soon. Defense WINS championships! How about this ... D-Ryan & Super Mario help to spearhead a Top 10 NFL rated defense. You say what? If you checked the combine comparisons with Mario and Julius Peppers, Mario's numbers were either the same or better across the board than Julius' numbers And everyone here knows what kind of player Peppers has turned out to be. D-Carr man needs to play smart and let the game come to him since he has a real offensive line to work with not a bunch of ole stiffs. Another thing, for the first time ever the Texans have good solid complementary and competitive players at every position. A mix of youth and experience. Talent and intelligence. So, bottom line: Division: 1-1 Jax, 1-1 Indy and 1-1 vs the t*** Wins: Philly (the inspirational initial game for Coach Kuby), Washington-outside of their defense they arent real impressive. Dallas AGAIN! Whos gonna QB Dallas, I hope Drew. A stayput, dropback passer Mario is salivating at the possibilities. Losses: G-Men (better team), NE (still a little better-I think we make it close though) , Oakland (Brooks will not be Qbing by this time in the season). Bubble games: Miami (probable loss) Culpepper vs Carr, Jets (we rarely do well in NY but this team will be beatable, Buffalo-probable win, a team trying to find themselves hopefully we dont help them & Cleveland-Romeo has got them playing up there but I think we finish the season this time with a W at Reliant-finish it strong boys. Playoffs would be nice but more than likely not this year. Prediction: Carr 20 TDS, 11 Ints, Comp rate: 59%, pass yds: 3100, sacked: 20 V-Mor: 1,100 yds with 4.6 avg Lundy: 1,400 yds with 5.2 avg. Defense: 50 sacks and +7 turnover ratio ... its a start Texans: btwn 7-9 and 10-6. Call it 9-7. Depends on how well Carr leads the offense and how much the defense improves.
I just have a hard time looking at the schedule and thinking we wont win at least 7 games. Oak, NJ, Buf, and Cle should be W's. If we win 3 games in our division, that puts us at 7 wins for the year. We are a good enough team to pull that off.
3 to 4 wins. Andre Johnson and Robinson weill have great years. Carr will suck again and Mario will be a bust.
If Andre Johnson was on a team with a good qb you would hear his name like you hear Steve Smith, Chad Johnson, T.O., and Marvin Harrison as one of the top wideouts in the game.
