Brad Daugherty/Mark Price Jumped on the Rockets bandwagon because of Hakeem. Jumped back on because of Yao. And I guess I'm still here...
Larry Bird. Aside from Jordan, the most nails player I've ever seen. Honorable Mention: Kevin Mchale Loved his footwork and low post moves. Obviously made the most of his career from hard work cause he wasn't that athletic.
I became a Rockets fan because of Hakeem. So it's actually the other way around. That being said... I was a Bulls fan before I was a Rockets fan because my favorite player before Hakeem was Tony Kukoc.
Rockets: 1) Hakeem 2) Clyde Drexler 3) Tracy McGrady NBA: 1) Reggie Miller -Dude was just so clutch and hit so many game winners. 2) Ray Allen - I guess I just loved 3 pointers
A) Hakeem Olajuwon Clyde Drexler B) 1986 Boston Celtics starting lineup + Reggie Lewis Magic Johnson Dr J Michael Jordan Dennis Rodman - Bulls Years Chris Mullin Tom Chambers Dominique Wilkins
Maxwell. Guy had amazing potential, as well as the attitude to back it up. To bad he was way to unstable. Always seemed to get in Jordan's head and played him pretty damn well for the most part.
Calvin Murphy Moses Malone Robert Reid Julius Erving Andrew Toney Isaiah Thomas Hakeem Olajuwon Vernon Maxwell
Watched since 1996 and even though I'm from Holland I immediately fell in love with Olajuwon's moves on NBA Action. I never really knew his name or followed the games but bought one of those flags of his. As a team I liked the Bulls and just fell in love with Rodman. The style of play, the battles with Malone in the playoffs but mostly the hair colours.
Steve Francis was my favorite NBA player growing up. I had no cable so I only caught the local basketball games on UPN
I know many people say Jordan. People need to realize that back in the day, there wasn't so many options to watch NBA basketball. It was usually on CBS then on NBC, later TNT then to ballooned to ESPN/NBA TV etc. The Bulls were ALWAYS on TV, same with the Lakers and Celtics. Plus the Bulls had their own network, WGN.
