I think Steve has to play the 2 and Mac the 3 for our most potent offensive lineup. Rafer Steve Mac Scola Yao I don't know who would be our 6th man, james makes obvious sense but I guess it would be situational where you might need more of a Bonzi type player before Mike or a Shane type lockdown guy. James Battier Bonzi Chuck Butler Deke coming in as a defensive specialist for pesky & annoying driving guards who are in the zone
That would be my preference too. Initially, I had T-Mac at the 3 and Bonzi at the 2 along with Yao,Scola, and James but I don't think that's the best starting line up.
Steve Francis Tracy McGrady Bonzi Wells Shane Battier Yao Ming It sounded like Adelman really like this lineup
It makes no difference. Look at all the guys that play multiple positions. PG: Alston, Brooks, James, Francis, T-mac Sg: T-Mac, James, Francis, Snyder, Wells, Head SF: T-Mac, Wells, Battier, Novac PF: Hayes, Scola, Landry, Butler, Battier, Novac C: Yao, Deke, Butler Let's get Barnes and Haslem and then we will have one of the deepest most flexible benches imaginable. But with current roster i'd go with: Alston T-Mac Battier Scola Yao.
Steve Francis Tracy McGrady Shane Battier Chuck Hayes Yao Ming Best offensive/defensive combination lineup, most balance, so its my favorite.
Starting Lineup? With the current roster of those signed to guaranteed contracts: Rafer McGrady Battier Scola Yao Rafer however will be traded because they aren't getting rid of Mike James or Steve Francis since they were recent pickups and there isn't enough pt for all 3. So this is what I see: James McGrady Battier PF we get from Rafer trade Yao But during a game, I'd like to see: Francis Wells McGrady Scola Yao Maybe too many slashers and not enough shooters, but I think it would be interesting.
Alston McGrady Battier Scola Yao The only one I'm not sure about is Scola. It may be better to have Hayes start the season, and let Scola prove he's ready, which I think he will be. Then, you have Francis and James battle for "sixth man" (i.e., guy that gets around 30 minutes per game coming off the bench). The loser of those two only gets 10-15 minutes per game, and if they're not okay with it then put them on the inactive list.
Rafer will not be here (at least 80%), so he will not start or play as a sixth man. MJ or SF3 is a starter.
Looks that way, but Brooks better be the real deal, because neither Stevie or James are true point guards. I really don't think we're through dealing. I believe Barnes, Haslem, Collison, Foster, Maggette, Mcdyse (sic), white chocolate, wilcox, could still be had. We've got some cards and it looks like a gm who knows how to deal 'em.
if Rafer is here: PG: Rafer SG: Tracy SF: Battier PF: Scola C: Yao if they trade Rafer then I'd start Steve...and if they trade Steve for Haslem, I'd start Haslem with Scola coming off the bench.
i guarantee you'll be seeing a lot of this next season: PG: Brooks SG: Bonzi SF: T-Mac PF: Scola C: Yao adelman loves brooks and im almost positive t-mac and bonzi will have the best chemistry on the floor.
