There's a Fogo and Texas de Brazil in Houston! I wasn't sure if there was a Rafain, but I thought there was, that's why I asked, but ok... only 175 negative points for you.
Don't believe that man... I used to eat there all the time and would never gain weight because I always played ball and worked out 3-4 times a week. But ... then I got a job ... and then I turned 27-30 ... and damn, it wasn't pretty. I liked Timmy Chan's because if you're broke they give you so much food you can make 2 or 3 meals out of their fried rice portions (if you eat like a normal person).
The server should have explained to you how the Green/Red card worked. If its Green, the waiters will keep coming at you with food. If its Red, it indicates that you don't want anymore. Pretty simple if you ask me.
What? Are you serious? I made a really big scene, knocked over a chair, and almost didn't pay. Now I'm pretty embarrassed.
Pretty low rent responses. I'll say Carmelos so I can cover Houston and Austin. And Denis's, but I like it better before it moved from Westhiemer to the Katy Freeway location.
No. Tony's is an American restaurant on Richmond near Timmons in the Greenway Plaza area. Outstanding food. Pricey, but worth it
Houston has a killer Filet mignon. if you want to get gangsta, Dot's off 45, Mamma's off westheimer, and to keep it really gangsta, Timmy Chan's off lockwood with the 40 weight gravy and wing dinner.
Houston Barbecue on Eldridge near I-10... hands down the best barbecue ive ever had. Sliced beef and jalapeno sausage = amazing. And if you haven't already, go to Outback and try the Alice Springs Chicken, it'l blow you away. (Chicken breast SMOTHERed with Cheese, bacon, and mushrooms w/ honey mustard on the side. dayumn.) i think i get the fat hat for that one
lol i thought about it. if im gonna take that road, im goin with Rajun Cajun with Cousin Brucie! or Jakes with the Philly's behind the bar! damn i listen to way too much 1560
My personal favorite is Thim Hing Sandwich Shop. My family has been going there for years now, ever since i can remember, I think it's their bread that sets it apart from the rest. The bread is soft but not too soft, and it doesnt cut your mouth like other sandwich places. I bring everyone here that likes banh mi, and they say its better than the other ones theyve been to. As to which type of sandwich is best, its all personal preference. My personal favorite is all the meats, and/or (dac biet). It has all the deli meats, plus viet meatballs which are freaking delicious. The grilled pork one is good if its marinated and cooked correctly (thit nuong). I hope this helps, but I suggest you try this place out just once. Some yelp reviews, in case it helps. Adding to the thread, my favorite in Houston has to be Riojas. I just think the food / atmosphere is amazing. Personal favorites are the baked shrimp in olive oil, the short ribs, Serrano ham, and seriously the best calamari i have ever eaten anywhere. It's actually seasoned, and comes with garlic aoli and marinara as dipping sauces.
theres jax grill in bellaire and grimaldis the brickoven pizza place that just opened in town center in sugar land
ragin' cajun. it's been mentioned a couple of times-> hey it's not the greatest food on earth~> but it's got soul and the ambience rules. just a big old hole in the wall, i love it. i hit it up every time i come to houston.
