Terrible service...they wouldn't come around to give me more food. When I complained, they made a joke about my coaster being a "red light" that stopped waiters. So stupid.
Play by the rules son... they can't read your mind. In Dallas I've eaten at Fogo, Texas de Brazil, and Rafain, and I cannot recommend Fogo over Rafain... Rafain is cheaper, to boot. Mmmm meat is good.
I think I used to eat at that one 10-15 years ago. It used to be one of the places we'd go to when our broke butts wanted to go "high class". lol. Hilarious. I liked the food, but then I was in my 20's, so that's not saying much. There used to be a place somewhere around there called the Grand Palace or something that was just as good, if not better, but I think it burned down back in the 90's (?).
Are you around 20? Timmy Subgum Rice FTW! I miss that place... but it'll take a toll on your body. lol.
yep that's right. If you go on Rockets/Texans/Astros game day you get 20% off your bill. .... so drink up.... When Yao first got drafted by us, I asked the waiter if Yao was ever in here. He said he saw him once. Apparently Yao has his own place now?
The strip center/building owner wanted to like double or triple their rent. They closed down, took the recipe for those pungent but delicious fajitas (which was a point of contention, because I think there was/is another fandango location somewhere south), and opened a restaurant called Flamenco's behind the Panera on 290 and whatever st. It was the same, but the location was tucked back as opposed to up front like before. Also, they got a bigger place. Anyway, new location and different name and they just didn't pull what they used to and closed down. My wife and I ate there a lot after they moved, but got sick one day and never went back. They closed a few months later. Sad... they were nice folks (can't remember the name now, but nice) and I hated to see them not make it.
At the risk of suffering bbs afflictions unmentionable for pointing out irony regarding a clutch crew member's post... oh well, i'm already demoted. fail?
Always get the craving for Mambo Parrilla, El Jardin, and Don Carlos, especially since I'm away from Houston these days. Just a reminder of my dear East End.
17 . Close enough. Timmy Chan's is the bomb! It does take a toll on the body, but a quick game of basketball, or some jogging after eating does the trick. I would have gone today if the weather didn't suck.
I was talking about the Seafood one, though. But their regular one (Clay bear HWY6, or Katy Mills, or Memorial Dr. is also good). The seafood one is also my oldest daughter's favorite, 'cuz of their breaded shrimp (probably pre-packaged). Their Vuelve a la Vida cocktail actually DOES bring you back to life.
okay... My favorite is easily Marks. The tenderloin is absolutely the best. You don't even need a knife. Their drink called 1658 (I think) is also one of the best in the city. Americas is second.
Kasra persian restaurant right by Yao's Best beef kabab and rice ever! and they give u feta cheese with freshly baked bread with your meal. Greatness
