How did you become a fan of the Houston Rockets all the way from Sydney? Did you used to live in the States?

The story is that we used to get one NBA game a week back in the early 90's on Saturdays and it was always Bulls/Celtics/Lakers pretty much.

Was trying to follow someone but didn't want to jump on the bandwagon (everyone else was all about Jordan/Magic/Bird) .. One game I watched in 92/93 (Dream was wearing the goggles) was the Bulls and the Rocks.

I remember thinking the Dream was awesome and Houston won that game aswell...beating Michael and the Bulls seemed impossible the way people talked about Jordan and his mob.

From that day on, I have been an aussie rocket.

I correctly agreed with you in that thread. He just doesn't have it physically.

I'm also an Aussie and became a fan of the Rockets in the early 90's, I remeber watchin a top 10 count down and seeing Hakeem come out of nowhere and block rod strickland on a fast break. I then fell in love then I started collecting Hakeem basketball cards which I got about 300 and still have today. I started following the Rockets cause of Hakeem

When Dwight Howard and him got into it. I think Dwight was 15-15 from the field on David's puny ass.

Dude, the block after the Strickland steal. Brilliant.

I think I have about 100 Hakeem cards, 300 is amazing... nice work.

He was a pretty good WR most of the season, I'd rather play him than Jacoby.
