    Depends.

For tailgating before football games, more for the cheap buzz.

If I go out to a pub or dinner and there is a good beer selection, then for the taste/

Chips and salsa, pizza, mozzarella sticks, many appetizers. If you're drinking beer along with a full meal, you're drinking the wrong beer, like Bud, Miller, or some other weak (i.e. "drinkability") American lager. Liquor is better with a main course.

You haven't had the right beer. Not to be a snob, but I don't drink cheap anything. I feel better in the morning that way.

We need a Mr. Yuck emoticon. That sounds revolting.

I've had BBQ Pizza, and I've had Mexican Pizza, but never all three at once.

It goes really well with Indian food. Chicken Tikka Masala, Poori, Naan, Samosa, etc. Good Chili is also great stuff to go with beer.
