    My roommate and her boyfriend used to borrow my Enigma CD for those purposes...

    Personally, I think music is a distraction at those important times. On the other hand, it depends what works for you and your partner... mine only finds classical music interesting, and then he would be busy thinking deeply about the structure of the music. (don't ask me why) Better to keep it turned off.

    The last time we had any noise on was when I turned off the tv but the stereo hooked up to the vcr stayed on. What was on was game 7 between the yankees and Red Sox.
