this thread brings to mind a different thread someone started a long while back about cereality.

too bad these cereal restaurants are only in AZ, PA, and IL. :(

    anyway...
    cinnamon toast crunch
    cap'n crunch.

btw, does anyone else eat their cereal with silk soy milk? it's so bad arse. it's like a slight hint of vanilla to your cereal. it also softens up cereals that tear up the roof of your mouth (cap'n crunch).

    4. Wheaties

    Other good ones I like:
    Fruit Loops
    Fruity Pebbles
    Coco Puffs
    Frosted Flakes
    Apple Jacks

my parents didn't buy junk cereal ...ever

in fact, i didnt even try Fruity Pebbles or Froot Loops until I was out of the house

Crispy Wheats & Raisins was my fav though ......only other option we had was Cheerios (the parents would spring for Honey Nut Cheerios if we were really good)

Damn I'm old, I don't recognize half of the cereals mentioned in this thread.

I used to get the cereals that gave you something back. 3D baseball cards, The Archies 45 record "Sugar", stuff like that (yeah it was on the back of the box. You cut it out and it played on your record player). I did like Cap'n Crunch though :)

I was always different as a kid because I never liked the overly sweet cereals.

    My favorites were:

    Grape Nuts

    Rice Crispies

    Rice Chex

    Wheat Chex

    Cheerios

With shreded wheat coming in with an honorable mention.

    Cocoa Crispies
    Cinnamon Toast Crunch
    Rice Krispies.
    Frosted Mini Wheats

My favorite was to mix Rice Krispies with Cracklin' Oat Brand and Frosted Mini Wheats

I loved Boo Berry. Last Halloween Sam's Club had a 3 pack with Count Chocula, Frankenberry and Boo Berry. I bought some and I will be looking for more this Halloween.

I'm still young enough to where I still enjoy being in the "Cereal and Kool Aid Age". Here are a few of my favorties:

    Waffle Crisps
    Fruity Pebbles
    Cocoa Pebbles
    Trix
    Smacks
    Frosted Mini Wheates
    Cocoa Puffs
    Crunchberries

I swear that if someone ever made "Cereal flavored milk" (milk that tastes like the stuff leftover after cereal), then they'd strike it rich. Fruity Pebbles Milk would sell like hotcakes. I always tell everyone that I'm going to do this and strike it rich. Anyone think I'm flat out crazy?

I never ate much of the sweet cereal until I left home. My biggest one growing up was definitely Raisin Bran though.

... we old-timers know them as Sugar Pops. There's no corn in there.

Now they are small, no! no! no!

    Kids these days are weak.

I ate TOTAL when I was young. When your living off food stamps, you don't really have much choice. :(
