well the first one was a miss...

sigh this is what morey must feel like. he brings reams of data and stats and the fans just stick to their anecdotal "evidence".

Was it counted as a miss?

lol that's one of the two best clutch end of game plays you have from harden this year? a missed 3 saved with a goaltend? if that's all you can come up with, you've just proved my point.

So are you trying to say that Harden shouldn't have shot a wide open jump shot inside the 3 point line? Imagine the blasting he wouldn't have gotten on the board if he passed it up to let Omer fumble a pass in the post, and then in the post game interview said "I was tired so I didn't want to take the shot cause my legs hurt."

Your a smart enough poster to understand this. He missed an open shot that any coach or player would take to win the game... He missed. End of game. Should be end of thread. Time to move on.

This is on the coaching staff. If they can't draw up anything other than Harden ISO using 4 possesions, then they need to be blamed. Setting up a play where Harden receives the ball for a 3 would be better than him attempting an ISO (as the stats prove)

People forget about that Minnesota game where Harden single handedly won the game at the end for us, too

Probably the 2nd best shot you can take outside of a wide open layup/dunk

Did you just miss the OKC game? And how many game winning shots do you think most stars hit each year?

The shots were fine, we just lost to a better team.

You rely on your closer to close out games. Our closer just didn't get it done.

*palm meets face* that wasn't what I said at all. I never said Harden shouldn't have taken that shot. And Omer wasn't even in the game in that last possession did you watch it? The shot was the right shot to take because it was open.

I am just wondering if we could have drawn up an even better play for somebody else that wasn't as fatigued to take a 3. I am not angry, or upset or bashing harden over the loss, we lost to a better defensive team credit to them. Just wondering for my own personal interest. Do you get where I am coming from now?

Everyone looked fatigued except Delfino but he was airballing 0-3 shooting.

The Omer pass was a hypothetical. Of course I watched the game. Could a better play have been drawn up??... I guess, but would that super-amazing play have led to a better look at an open shot?? Also, who else was having that much better of an offensive night last night to feel like you could rely on that guy to score instead of Harden?.. Jones?.... Delfino?

This isn't directed at you, but to the fanbase that wants to validate their distain for Harden...I get it... people don't like Harden cause he's not the star they want, and they think he doesn't pass the ball to "certain players" enough... However, he's the star the Rockets got. Beggers can't be choosers when you loose your two superstars overnight to injuries and you suffer through 3 years of being the best of the worst in the NBA. So lets give the guy a break please. The guy missed a shot. Name me one star player that hasn't missed a game winning shot before in their career... it happens, and you move on.

Apparently there was "another player" who should have taken the last shot or a better play McHale haters think could have been put together to get the ball out of that scrub James Harden's hands. I think the OP started this thread as pure sarcasm and it opened the flood gates for a certain set of fans to further describe their distain for Harden and McHale.

More straw men are being put up and torn down in this thread than in an entire US presidential campaign.

It's never a good idea to have your best player take an open shot.
