dobro1229 - hey clown, why so upset? You just ranted without providing any facts. OKC is gunning for the top seed so no, based on evidence, they don't miss him. He's 5th in scoring because his main goal is to score score score, he's 44% from the field, how the hell is that efficient moron, check wade kobe durant, those guys are all near 50%...For every game winner he has hit, he has shot his team out of the game 5x more. He is a good player but not in the league of kobe wade durant etc. I tried to be polite but you just lost your ****. Come back with a real argument with real facts.

Aw man. A 24 year old player is not as good as 30 year olds? What a bummer.

Harden got open when Tony Allen slipped. Standing ovation to McZhale for a great play!

My take - OKC will miss Harden in the playoffs. Harden is worth every penny of the max contract Morey gave him.

But Harden's efficiency has slipped vs OKC due to playing PG. if you look at his shooting in the two 7-game losing streaks, you'll get the picture.

Harden did not make a FG in the second half without being assisted or receiving the ball with the defender off balance due to a teammate penetration and pass.

He is much more efficient as a SG, easily.

Harden is the future #1 SG in the league, of course he will take the shot or shots needed to win the game at the end of a game, its just how it is.
Currently there are only two other SG at harden's level/tier/elite status, wade and kobe.
Kobe is unfortunately done and may never be the same again.
Wade is already on the downside of his career, wrong side of 30/injuries.
So quite possibly harden next year will be the #1 SG in the league, with wade at #2, and a pretty huge drop off in SG talent after that.

He had four straight chances. Im fine with him taking the shot. We could of go more variety to set up some easier looks. 0-4 in the final two minutes.

the last shot wasn't the problem. the problem was the three waste possessions prior to that where he ran up the middle knowing there wasn't going to be any call.

example, anyone see a potential pass in this play?

Wrong, Kobe is shooting 46% this year and 45% for his career.

Hey clown, maybe you should learn a little more about efficiency.

Calling Kobe more efficient than Harden, that certainly takes some level of stupid. Comparing fg% when one player clearly takes more three pointers, and is ahead in every efficiency stat, also kinda dumb.

Wade's EFG is higher than Harden's by virtue of havign the 2nd best wing defender on him (you know, like when Harden's was stupidly high at OKC?), but still a lower TS%

Durant well sure, he and Lebron are both amazingly efficient.

yes it is to get open but Harden had no legs. There was no chance in hell that Harden was making that long 2 nor was he going to finish that drive if Tony hadn't slipped. Just saying that we should have run a play to get a player who is a little more fresh a shot.

This is a flawed question because the obvious answer is yes.

I think the poll is trying to prove something that is not "Your Best Player Taking a Wide Open Shot".

Why every discussion has to involve Lin? Not just for you, it's for everyone.

really those clutch stats are really telling. here's a link to stats in the last 2 minutes of games, when the rockets are behind. I filtered players who took less than 7 shots to clean up the data. james harden is one of the WORST performers in the last 2 minutes of games when we are behind. is he really the "BEST" player in that sense?... absolutely he's a scorer but in the last 2 minutes when the defense is locked on him and everyone knows he's going to take the shot... the stats show he is just... really bad. the knock on harden when we got him is he choked in the finals. so far the stats are not looking great.

btw, Jeremy Lin is tied with Shawn Marion as the best performer in these situations by the same stats.

He's been pretty clutch this year. 2 recent games.
