I agree with your A, B, C groupings and you make good arguments about the situation for teams in group C. I would probably put both SA and Utah in group A though, despite SAs stuggles and Parker's bone spurs. I don't agree with your assessment about the Hornets. Like the Suns, if their starting PG goes down, the rest of the team will follow. Peja feeds off of good PG play and West would be much less effective without pull initiating the offense. They were decimated with key injuries last season and all of those players have bounced back nicely but no Paul for more than 25 games means no playoffs for these guys. If Paul gets a season-ending injury in the next week or so, things change DRAMATICALLY for the Hornets. The top 10 teams in the West are so bunched up that a key injury for any team can have significant repercussions, especially if you are talking about Paul.
Tell you what: The Warriors must be pretty ticked off about last night. To say they shredded the Hornets defense tonight would be putting it lightly. Just like us, they had no answer at all for Chris Paul and David West. But they turned on the jets and the Hornets couldn't stay with them. This is how the Warriors can be when they are motivated to lay it all on the line. They are 28-12 since Stephen Jackson came off suspension. The one and only thing that will stop them from making the playoffs is injuries. They just have too much talent and speed to be left out. Whoever faces them in the 1st round will have their hands full.
Denver and Portland, this will show how a dumb azz Barkley is for choosing the Nuggets to come out of the West
Heartbreaking loss to the Pistons at Detroit for the Lakers. Kobe looked disgusted. 11 of their next 12 games are on the road, including the next 8.
The Pistons really rest their starters. Another team doesnt care about the regular season. It's because in LEAST conference, the Pistons are sure they are No. 2.
Lakers lose - wooooot Spurs win - stupid We could of taken advantage of a Spurs loss but oh well, I'm changing my 2 teams to Portland and Denver.
Portland is currently sucking against Denver. Assuming they lose we will pass them in the standings for 9th place. Now Denver and Golden State are the 2 closest teams left, 18 losses and 19 losses. Both remaining schedules have tough and easy teams for the rest of February so I guess we are going to have to keep watching.
10 teams within 6 games. We are only 5 games behind SW divisions leaders. Still a mud fight. but by the end of this week, the Rockets will go up to No. 8.
Sure they have, the only problem was he was playing for the Grizzlies at the time most people were saying the Lakers.
