YOUNG QUICK = AB'a nickname

that was probably the worst thing i've ever heard. why would you do that to us?

 

Wow, I thought my respect for Stuart Scott couldn't get any lower. This nickname is just horrible. I would ask what he was smoking when he thought that up, but if he was smoking something he probably could've come up with something better than "Young Quick".

Roadrunner. But if we can re use knick names it should be Mighty Mouse. The kid is short but fast and ballsy.

After seeing him in what amounts to a red tuxedo, I like Beetle Brooks. We just have to call his name three times to get him to show up.

Everyone knows that AB stands for After Burner. Granted, it used to be the moniker for former Rocket draft pick John Turner , but still its perfect for AB

I didn't want to start a new one, so I bumped this one in response to what I've watched in the conf and nba finals. There are a lot of detractors that talks about brooks court vision and over dribble and I admit those are things that he will need to work on, but one thing is very clear to me, he was the best player for the rockets vs La. In fact, he is the reason the series even went 7 games. Billups couldn't destroy lakers backcourt like brooks did. Orlando minus a healthy nelson can't exploit the slow foot speed of lakers. Yeah rafer can get hot like last night, but brooks basically made La bench fisher and look for answers. He also made La tilt the defense towards him through the series. I don't have to name names, but the thought of lowry beating out brooks isn't even close to imaginable. Brooks speed and quickness is a huge differnce maker in the playoffs. You put rafer back on this squad and they don't even beat portland.

 

seems like the only nicknames that stick these days are teh ones given to the player by the player himself
