I think Rudy is probably more well known for:

    1) Two championships
    2) The "never underestimate the heart of a champion" quote
    3) Getting his face mashed in by Kermit Washington

obviously there are going to be varying opinions on all of the players. I agree about White though - I wouldn't be shocked if White runs for more yards than Bush does in a given season.

I totally disagree with the assessment of Young's arm-strength, btw, and I don't have to be a scout to know that. The guy throws the ball up into the stratosphere on the deep balls (sometimes overthrowing his receivers...) and seems to have good velocity on short/medium throws.

If Vince had more touch on his deep ball, I don't know if we'd be even having this conversation, and there would be a for sale sign in front of Carr's house.

It's on ESPN insider. Names can't be given, but they were taken from scouts. I figured there would be some delusional longhorn fans here that question there authenticity.

Totally, heard someone mention this on the radio and its the only throw vince doesn't make consistently. but if you watch his high school highlights, that's where he made most of his pass yards. so the raw ability is there, but that's the throw he needs work on, and conversely that's probably the throw Lienart excells at. I do agree with the scout that Lienart throws an ugly ball but for the most part he is accurate.

Or there could be me, a Horns fan that trusts scouts opinions (for the most part) but who just wanted to see it since you apparently thought it was prudent to completely leave off any explanation whatsoever of who it was that made those quotes. Poison in, poison out, dude.

Vince Young will NOT go to the Texans. Bank on it.

And I will laugh in all 57 threads that were created when he gets drafted 3rd, therefore not even being the best QB in his class.

    Ha ha ha.

Are you serious? Rudy T is an HOF.

Almost everybody has gotten over passing up Rashard. Its not like we have an extra title or two if he was in Houston.

Rashard is a good player but far from great. And what is this his 7th year in the league? Ya he will never be great. Hes just a nice/good player.

Show some appreciation towards Rudy T.

This is not a slam at all, but I saw the Leno interview last night and found Vince to be very immature. He was giggling throughout and appeared very nervous. I was surprised. For as calm as he is during the game, he did NOT look like someone I'd trust a complicated offense with last night. He really struggled to piece together coherent thoughts. Mature thought and communication are very important parts of the quarterback position, as the player will be the team leader on and off the field. Veterans will look to the QB for leadership. If there is an argument for Vince to return to school, it could be based on the grounds of maturity/intellect. To Carr's credit, he is very strong in these areas.

Reading between the lines, Vince sounded like he's going pro last night. Not many people say "we'll see" when they don't mean "no" (when answering the question on whether or not he'd return).

Ya, I Corse and Kirk both had those same rankings. I don't like to put too much into it because these guys flip/flop like it's their job.

But I think the RB proved that Bush can be stopped. He still had 170 yards of offense which is pretty good. But other than that 1 TD he had, you can see that Bush relies too much on beating the defenders to the sidelines. The Horns did a great job of not letting Bush beat them outside, and you could kind of see that Bush was getting frustrated. Couple things that concern me is his durability and willingness to run between the tackles.

absolutely. bush's game is getting to the outside and beating you that way. that's a much harder task in the NFL. i'm not saying he CAN'T do it. i'm saying he's not a sure thing.

Jorge, Jorge, Jorge, You can't be serious.

VY has shown game after game that he is as calm as any player ever in clutch situations. He pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in the history of football in the grandaddy of them all. 14 points in the last 5 minutes of the Championship Game.

And now you're saying you wouldn't trust him w/ an offense because of how he performed on Jay Leno? I know you said this isn't a slam, but that's exactly what you did.

Like how he's not even considered the leader of the offense?

16-20 at best. However if we package that with an unconditional #1 next year... Might get you into the top 10.

    1) Its TV, Its his 1st time in the national spotlight.

    2) How serious and intellectual would you or anyone else be sandwiched between Will Farrel and Jay Leno. Tonight Show is not Charlie Rose.

    3) Reggie Bush seemed like he had some problems reading off the telaprompter during his top ten on Letterman. Does that make him illiterate or nearsighted?? Nearsightedness is not a quality that you want in a franchise runningback.
