    Fraudtitta

If the Rockets ever do go into the tax, I'm certain it will be on accident

This guy is a joke and can't sell the team fast enough for me

Pretty sure that story got leaked by Ferntits to be able to blame Daryl afterwards.

Add this deadline to the other mountain of evidence that points to a cheap owner.

Not surprising in the slightest. This team would be the favorite if Morey was actually allowed to act in the best interest of the on court product over the last 2 seasons.

    Newsflash Tilman:

Actions speak louder than words, and your actions prove otherwise in this case.

I had given Fertitta the benefit of the doubt, but he really seems to be a crap owner. Prefer Les.

If I was Morey and we don’t win the title this year , I set things up in the offseason so there’s no way Tilman can evade the tax ... then I resign .

He can get a fat raise and get the NYK job ... if he wants it . Or he can wait for whatever job he’d like .

Think about what this guy has done .

Inherited Yao and tmac in 2006, stars but injury prone .... ownership mandate and his own gut say to go for it . Couple of years later builds a championship worthy roster with artest battier etc.

We get bad injury luck ... but not altogether unexpected, still in that situation you have to go for it.

After that year we start to move on . Mandate from owner not to tank. Couple of years later we land harden. Then next year we pair him with Dwight . Was it a risk yes . But then year after that 14-15 we have a legit contender . Seriously go back look at that team and how they played . We get bad injury luck .

Next season some weird **** happens , les cans the coach . We suffer through a .500 season.

Then 2 years later we have chris Paul and are challenging one of the best teams of all time.

    Morey is soooo freaking good.

It’s clear that our objective these last 2 years has NOT been to improve the talent level (even if it’s at the margins) it’s been to get us under the luxury tax threshold and if we get a player that helps us in the process, that’s secondary.

We’ve passed up the opportunity to create or keep contracts , and have used assets to move off of them vs being the vehicle to trade for a player and use our assets that way.

Tilman says he’d go into the tax ... and I believe him ... if it was for prime Lebron or injury free KD . But that’s about it . Maybe a player “good enough” truly wasn’t available, but good players moved . The fact is , we didn’t have enough assets to grab one without losing Capela because we’ve used those assets to escape any danger of possibly paying the repeated tax.

Rather than trust the wizard GM you have to be able to get you out of it if the situation does arise in the future

$6 million under is a laughably large amount for a team with two guys making $40 million a year. Absolutely cleared the cupboards.

    Stop giving this clown money.
