In general I agree with you but not in this case. Tillman had ways to materially improve the Rockets and he choose not to because of money. In fact he had Morey waste assets to save him money. This has been done on a number of occasions already. Will he stick his toe into the luxury tax this year? Probably, he has rightfully been embarrassed.

 

This sounds like spin by Tilman's folks.

 

The main point is that it's too late. It's easy to say he'll spend now when the restrictions to spend have already been put in place by the moves of the prior 2 years. Haters or huggers, it's just too late.
