I think it has to do with the fact that if he wasn't such a douche
and could run a simply campaign . . and win a slam dunk election
we would not have had to suffer the last 7 yrs of crap
at the hands of the moron he lost too.

or that movie he helped make

I'm glad we didn't listen to the scientists in the early seventies when the big concern was global Cooling. They actually suggested (to the president) that we start melting the polar ice caps to prevent this impending disaster.

The thing to remember is that nobody recorded the earths temperature until the early 1800's. Since then, there has been several periods of time when the earth went through global warming, then global cooling, then global warming..etc... The last period of global warming lasted about 45yrs and ended in the early 40's. Then cooling took place for about 35yrs. Yes, man's contributions do not help the environment at all, but we have to keep in mind that the earth is cy****ic. There are more than just a few "cherry picked" scientists that will say that global warming is more cy****ic than man-made. Actually, the biggest contribution we as a society could make to help global warming, is to become vegetarians. That would have a very significant effect on the environment. PETA actually complained that there was NO mention of this in Gore's documentary. I thought it was kind of strange that it wasn't mentioned at all.

Maybe the bush hate might just go back a little further in the family line when Prescott made his fortune by selling airplane parts to the nazis’ during WW2.

    nah...

Actually it is probably some of both.

There are some people who protest the war on very honorable grounds. I feel that there are some who are protesting because they disagree generally with the president.

    Wrong.

Debunked as a myth many times over and in fact the talk about 'scientists' adivsing the president to start melting the caps is an embelishment that I guess someone made up recently because this is the first time I've heard it. But I have no doubt it will continue to be repeated.

Boy! This is gonna chap some of those protesters.

Climate activists tipped for peace prize

OSLO (Reuters) - Former Vice President Al Gore and other campaigners against climate change lead experts' choices for the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, an award once reserved for statesmen, peacemakers and human rights activists.

If a campaigner against global warming carries off the high world accolade later this month, it will accentuate a shift to reward work outside traditional peacekeeping and reinforce the link between peace and the environment.

The winner, who will take $1.5 million in prize money, will be announced in the Norwegian capital on October 12 from a field of 181 nominees.

Gore, who has raised awareness with his book and Oscar-winning documentary "An Inconvenient Truth," and Canadian Inuit activist Sheila Watt-Cloutier, who has shed light on how global warming affects Arctic peoples, were nominated to share the prize by two Norwegian parliamentarians.

"I think they are likely winners this year," said Stein Toennesson, director of Oslo's International Peace Research Institute (PRIO) and a long-time Nobel Peace Prize watcher.

Now now mcmark....everyone knows that the Nobel Peace Prize committee is comprised entirely of registered Democrats and MoveOn.org members, and their actions are completely bought and paid for by George Soros.

The fact that they are based in Norway has nothing to do with it.

Being poor stewards of the earth and finding military solutions without diplomacy and politics. Duh.

Given the results, at most you can say that it is only a pretext.

    The results speak for themselves.
