Thank you all for reading this and actually replying. That means a lot to me. I read every comment and took something from each one. Pretty soon I'll drop a couple more leaks and post them here and see what yall think, because it does kind of suck to be judged off of one song. But as an artist everyone is not going to like your music but some will love it. I knew that before I got into this lifestyle, but I do make a strong effort in trying to impress everyone.(Which is impossible lol). Just know that I recorded this song a while back and was still trying to really find myself as an artist. You'll be able to tell the difference when you hear my new ish. I do see yall have faith in me though, I just need to polish up a few things to catch your ears a little more. There are plenty more songs stored in my catalog of hip hop that I have that are different styles and beats. Now my next step as far as this board goes is the journey of progression, there's nothing wrong with that.

Thanks again fellas! I appreciate all the constructive criticism. Hopefully you all will become fans one day, I have big things in store.

You should write a song mentioning all the people that doubted you.

Oh don't worry, the energy is in the newer songs that I plan on dropping soon, be on the lookout for that. The scholarship was partial, meaning it paid for my books and things, but i had to pay for my dorm costs and a few other things that burned a hole in my wallet TOO quick. And don't worry, like i said, i'll be dropping some more vids soon that'll have the energy you looking for, just be patient with this process and I'm sure I can provide the music that you will like. Glad you got around to checking my video out though man, it jumped from like 350 views to 500+ views, overnight, so that's big to me. Good looking out.

Another thing is you know it takes a while for some artist to really find their nitch and actual flow. Some of my favorite artist are: Nas, Ma$e, Mos Def and Lupe so I get caught up in that smooth talk. But I do know they have more emphasis on certain things, and more flavor to their work than I do. Which is what i've been in the lab working on all day and night you know. I won't stop though, this is what I love to do, and one day soon I will have yall support as well as my other fans out there. Thanks again!

    New joints dropping soon...stay tuned...

I also just wanted to clear up my kind of Hip-Hop and my sounds.

It's about real life situations and painting pictures for the listeners, thats all. At the same time being true to myself. So whatever I feel like at the moment or when I hear that beat is what i'm going to express. Rather it be about Money, Clothes, Cars, Hoes or whatever. Just that real feel of Hip-Hip lyrical attack is what I strive after. Some songs will be deep, some songs won't. I love the comments fellas. Keep it up!

He's dropping a fan request song (i requested the song) and its a freestyle over the "I don't like the look of it" track by Gudda Gudda feat. Lil Wayne so for those of you that wanted to see some emotion, be on the look out for this track. It'll be downloadable and it'll be uploaded onto youtube for those of you who just want to take a listen.

Not a bad start. If you are going for the hip hop fans, you need to work on the word-play. I enjoy listening to hip hop and rap a lot, but when it comes to hip hop (you know, without the gang bang rhymes), I listen for the vivid and clever storytelling and word-play. You have to become a story-teller, something like these cats:

    Andre Nickatina

Locksmith is a pretty down to Earth guy. So if you are able to get a hold of his contact info, you can chop it up with him and get some industry tips from him. Just my two-cents. Best of luck.

    This.

You don't have to scream on the track but you need to tell your story AND sound good.

Hitting a bunch of punchlines with no topic is easy. Telling a story in rhyme is easy. You want to have that clever wordplay (punchlines, etc.) within a well written song. Listen to yourself without the beat, is it still entertaining?

That's hard to listen to man.

In some spots there are to many syllables finishing the punchline....where it's not matching up to the line before.

Quit rapping to 3rd grader beats.

    .....

I've heard worse on the radio though.

...try to listen to rappers who are successful and see If you can adjust your style a bit.

Right now you remind me of a immature Drake...but not as lyrical.

Nobody wants to hear "icky icky sticky spiffly whiffy fifty blah blah blah blah blah jiffy icky."

Keep em coming though....that one was better than the first...so you're improving.

I'll let em know to swing through here and reply to some of yall, but dude stay in the damn studio lol. I'm glad there's a few of yall giving some feedback and such, he already knows that not EVERYONE is going to like his music, so he understands that he can't please everyone with his music, but as long as yall continue to give him feedback and have him tweak some things in his flow, the better he'll become.

s.n: i really wish he'd release this one track he let me listen to because it was on some "story telling" type ish, but i don't wanna talk about it and give it away, or have a few of yall think i'm making all this up, but yeah, i liked "The Look of it" more than i liked the "Jump Rope" track, i think we all can at least agree to that? haha..

Alright, i'm back again yall. I know, i know, some of yall are tired of listening to him, others are enjoying the songs, and some are a bit iffy. However, from what i've been seeing, yall seem to like the second song better than the first song, so it shows that he's progressing as an artist. Here's his 3rd song and it comes with a video and it really shows you what he's about, letting yall know that he's taking this serious and this isn't just any ol random person trying to throw together songs and feel he'll make it big randomly, he's really putting in a lot of hard work so i need yall to peep this video out for us and give feedback either on the video or in this thread, we're keeping close tabs on both. Also, tell a friend to tell a friend about him, show this vid to at least one of your friends and get them to show this vid to one of their friends, and so forth, hope yall enjoy it!
