You could just have her watch Seinfeld. Elaine is a GREAT role model. "I'm not a lesbian. I hate men, but I'm not a lesbian."
John Mayer said it best the other day on a Stevie Ray Vaughn free per view... "SRV is a reference. He is a guy like John Lee Hooker and BB King and Jimmy Hendrix, they are reference pieces like National Geographic, you can come back to them. Pop music is a periodical. They are only good for a a month or a week or sometimes even a day. I'll be 80 and listening to SRV in the car and hear something new." Avril is a periodical at a doctor's office. Everybody has read that issue. Anybody with a clue doesn't want to pick up that issue again.
well, no problem there. every child i have will watch seinfeld! my son couldn't sleep last night and came in to sit next to me while i was reading a book and half-watching seinfeld. the episode about going to the opera. he was cracking up watching kramer trying to sing opera music. kramer comedy translates well over the age gap!
All I know is that her songs are a hell of a lot better than any of the other teeny-bopper pop singers (*coughbritneycough*). She's not a slutty blonde like all the rest of them, so I don't think as many people go for her looks. And she seems fiesty. Like in the video where she punched and broke the mirror. That was cool...
Still, my perfect ending is getting so much radio play though I think its the second most pushed song on VH1 insomnia theater (saw it twice in 1 hr, behind joss wheldon that came on every other comercial break)
Am I the only one that thinks she wants to be some sort of softcore female Axl Rose? Her songs are awful, but I swear I catch her doing a little Axl dance everytime she's near a mic stand. But I'd still hit it
New Maxim, crap, I've neglected my mail box for too long. I think she's a good song writer. Kind of amazing what she's done at such a young age. She's still got some growing to do so that she doesn't use lines like "make me go oh oh" or whatever. She's cute, but still looks like a little girl to me even though I'm only 2 years older than her. I'd hit it, she is famous and cute. The question we always neglect to ask is would they hit us??? Oh, this issue has sexy pictures of Fergie from Black Eyed Peas. Damn, she is hot.
Speaking of Fiona, I love her regardless of anything she does. I find her music to be so soulful and melancholy. BTW, anyone have any idea when her next album might drop. When I heard that her breakup a couple of years ago sent her into a spiraling freefall of despair, I figured an album was just right around the corner because that's usually how she deals with sadness.
Well you're not hardcore (no you're not hardcore), Unless you live hardcore (unless you live hardcore), And the Legend of the Rent is way hardcore!
You sure that wasn't Pink in "Don't Let Me Get Me"? Of course, she falls into the more singer/artist than popslut category as well. I guess Britney set such a low standard that it's easy to look good.
Yeah I think she's cute. Don't like her music but she's still kinda cute in that "middle-school" sort of way.
cable, Fiona Apple's new album has been rumored to be out forever it seems (originally this past February I believe). I just found this site: 9/28: The University of Southern California's tv show Trojan Vision has posted their recent interview with Fiona online, which you can view here (requires Real Player). Fiona Apple's new album, Extraordinary Machine, has been shelved by Sony, according to a recent Rolling Stone interview with Jon Brion, her producer. Supposedly, Sony cannot find a single and is unsure how to promote the record. There is no word yet on how long this will take. If you have any news, please e-mail me: lane at fionahaswings.com FHW is in limbo. It will be revamped eventually, and until then I will continue to update here with any valuable information. And many, many thank you's to Brian at memenethosting.com for providing this website with a home. BTW - "Tidal", I feel, is one of the best solo women debuts ever. Not a big fan of the second album, though.
