One minute some of you are saying Francis is our savior and the next you talk trash about him. I have been a Francis fan since the day one when we traded for him. We would not even be close to where we are right now if it wasnt for Francis. We should appreaciate who we have. What if we were in Clevelands position. They have no superstars on there teams much less leaders like Francis. Although the Rockets have lost in the recent years, Francis is my favorite Rockets player ever. He is the reason we even have 10 wins. Sure Yao played a big Role, but where was he last Friday after the 6 minutes of fame in the 1st quarter. I mean i love Yao to death but u guys give him too much credit and not Francis enough. If you messes up ohh its ok right, yet when Franchise has a bad game you guys act like he came and stole ur wives and raped you pets. I am so tired of this Steve Bashing. Remember that Francis is our Franchise player for the next 3 years until Yao overtakes him, but for now he is our best player by far. We dont need fans that bash our best player when hes not haveing a good night, and praise him when he has a great game. YOu all should learn something called loyalty.
I would not trade Francis for anyone in the League just cus he my fav player and hes the top PG in the NBA
Yeah, Steve is the best player we have now. But it does not mean he does not need to improve his game. I don't even have problem if you claim Steve is the best player in NBA. But remember the best player is supposed to take his team to playoff at least.
Look Franchise123456, you're just defending him because he's your favorite player in the whole wide world. Who gives a damn? I would like the Rockets as a whole, and not as a Franchise-Iverson type mentality, to pass the ball around and PLAY AS A TEAM! There is no I in TEAM!
Francis does pass the ball and he passes it awhole lot. Its that you people are blinded by how many times his teammates dont make the shots Francis give them. I mean Ive seen Francis give Yao so many oppourtunities and Yao gets fouled and botches the shot. Free throws dont count for assists. Next time lets see how many times Francis passes the ball then a team mate shoots it. Rockets dont exactly live and die of offence like Dallas Its harder for Franchise to get his assists up with Mobes missin his 3's and Ming botching layups after the foul. Also the Rockets are a one-on-one team. When Francis Passes the ball MObley or who ever gets it almost always dribbles and tries to creat their own shot. Its not Francis's fault his team mates dont knock down the great oppourtunities he gives them. Hell Id rather have Francis shooting the ball than anyone on the team, even Yao. In my opinion hes passing the ball too much, given the fact everyone wants to create off their own dribble.
Yeah, his teammates try and create their own shots off the dribble....sure......and Francis DOESN"T??!! C'mon. Our offense is too stagnant, we need more ball movement. But the movement has to be effective, and I don't believe our players have it together enough to get open shots. They are too habitual, in that they expect Steve or Cat to drive it in themselves, and when they do (rarely) get a good pass, they aren't ready for it. Everyone should first expect a pass, rather than have to watch a drive from Steve or Cat. They should move and get open. Maybe they need different plays. Maybe they are too predicatable, and defenses know our moves too well. But to say that Steve is the best PG in the NBA is bull. A PG's job is to make the plays, get his teammates involved, and set up open shots. Does that happen? Sometimes. Is he the best at it? Hell no. Steve is a great player, who is usually an EFFICIENT scorer, but that doesn't make him the best PG. If you want to call him a SG (shooting guard), then labeling him as the "best" SG would be far more accurate.
