Y'all are crazy. Basketball is the best sport. Here is life without NBA basketball: <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/EqCXgUXy1n8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/kC1aUwcOFnQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I hope both the owners and the players all lose all their money. So they will crawl back to us fans, apologize to us, promise to produce a great product, and cut ticket prices by 90%.
In a shortened season, it's much easier to tank for the lottery, which I'm absolutely hoping the Rockets will do. The next draft is suppose to be loaded, so if Les and Morey intend to rebuild, this is the season to do it.
Can WR the fans strike until we get new, unbiased refs who don't make "superstar" calls for breathing on Kobe or Lebron?
"You know what I was thinking about today, and even yesterday, is how very few people care about the NBA lockout. You just don't hear people talk. If it wasn't on sports talk or ESPN… would anybody even know? --Jeff Van Gundy
I think this is the plan. It's why I'm hoping to have some kind of season. Develop the young guys and make cap room for Big free agents while getting a high pick.
Everyone in this thread cares otherwise they wouldn't be here. People will care when they realize their NFL team is completely out of the race and can only watch NHL team sports wise. Usually people that don't care about something barely bother to speak about it...but when the Rockets play the first game and T-Will gets to play and jacks up a few shots everyone will be here posting about it
I think fans nationwide should boycott 1 home game when the season resumes..... Seriously.. We need someone to spread this message on twitter , sports radio, any other social networks... Just 1 home game.. This would be a great tactic for fans to voice their frustration... We're so used to havin everything in this modern age, we forget that boycotting was used to get it...
Some of you are wack... The NBA hasn't been this good in forever, what with so many rising teams and rising stars. Rockets, Bulls, Lakers, Heat, Mavs....so many great teams and good small rivalries. If we lose a season, it just makes me as a fan more psyched about the next one. Watching basketball isn't the only joy of life mate! So stop whining and just wait to see what develops
Word. Well, they won't lose me permanently, but they are greedy bastards who hopefully lose some money out of this and have to re-think things. ... Then again, everyone was saying the same thing back in 98 (which incidentally also came right after another high-point in NBA viewership).
