Also worth noting that Drudge is on Twitter, and his post has been retweeted hundreds of times (if not more) within just minutes of being posted. I did a search, and less than 1 minute later, it had been re-tweeted 170 more times. As of now, it's still not on any of the national news or sports websites. He's managing to reach a huge audience that's just re-tweeting an article that's not even confirmed outside of a local news station. That kind of audience reach gives him the ability to still shape stories if/when he wants - he could do the same with very politically biased articles and reach that same wide audience if he builds credibility with these types of non-political breaking news stories.
