T-Mac needs to look at the rest of this club, especially this game. They're not scrubs. He needs to trust them. They are more than capable of stepping up, and he needs to make sure that they have the opportunity to play to the maximum extent of their ability.

There's a bunch of easy games coming up. Hopefully T-Mac will use this opportunity not to score a bunch of points but to integrate into the offense.

My personal experience is that things get ugly when you're pushed. Against stronger opposition you choke up a little, your form is awful. Against weaker opposition you can play like you practice. T-Mac and the Rockets need to play beautiful, passing basketball in these next few games. Let's see T-Mac work within the offense.

And if he can't, trade him.

If you can get a good deal, but not just to unload him...

If he stays, bring him off the bench.

Talk about knee-jerk reaction. Now we have useless, stupid threads pop up even after wins now

I've got a question, ever since Tmac got back, he normally played in the offense for the 1st 3 quarters and did not demand the ball. Why didn't the role players play this well during? I just couldn't figure it out myself.

Because they defer to Tmac.......when he is not there the ball hops around everyone gets involved...and they get more comfortable.

When he is there, they don't move and get the ball to him and stand and watch.

Part of the problem is on the role players and part of it is Tmac's fault.

Tmac Rarely runs up the court, and if he did that, this offense would really flow.

They really pushed the ball in transition today. T-Mac has got to come back committed to running without the ball.

Chemistry is one of the toughest things to figure out. It's not a superstar thing--they play their hearts out when Yao's in the game.

without Yao steping up tonight in the clutch there would be trade Yao threads, Yao being unclutch, we need tmac in crunch time etc.

    This thread = typical

Thanks man, I sure hope he can move a lot more without the ball and play better defense. But for the past 5 games, our offense didn't look so good even when he was on the bench, is it pure coincidence?

Some of you guys consistently remind me of how long the NBA season actually is. Yes, the Rockets played well this time. Yes, the Rockets have played well without Tracy in past games, but not all of them. I think it's mildly r****ded to start 'trade Tmac' threads after one game, and then start "Tmac appreciation" threads the next game. We Have plenty of games left to let Tmac and the rest of the team coexist. Scores have shown our inability to score without Tmac, or without Yao. Doesn't it make more sense to keep both until the season ends, and if we don't make the playoffs? I'm not willing to go into the post-season with Yao only having Rafer and Luther as the second and third scroing options. We've seen that experiment fail. I look forward to the return of Tracy, and the Rockets return to the playoffs with 2 superstars.

    Don't trade TMAC.

To beat the good teams, we need him to play team ball, get his teammates involved. TMAC, it's time for a change.

r we keeping t-mac so that when we lose to a good team with him DNP, we could say proudly:" it would be a win with him"?

trade him ...for a consistent shooter or pure salary cap....cant afford to see him wasted like this

Its funny, I think the role players play with a sense of urgency when Tmac is out but when he is in they are on cruise control. If only the role players know how to keep up their intensity instead of deferring.

Our offense didn't look much better tonight than it ever does - in fact we returned to the usual pattern of near 4th qtr collapses.
