unless your name is Phil Jackson,
the coach is the fall guy for your team's problems, even if its not his fault.

I'm not saying it's Adelman's fault that McGrady is sucking.

I'm asking why can't he do anything about it? Is it unreasonable to fault Adelman for doing nothing? Seriously, you can't be happy that Adelman is "not part of the problem." when he clearly isn't doing much to address it. He refuses to bench anyone, he refused to play Von Wafer until half the team was injured (even though, Von ended up being the best player for the Rockets against the Raptors, a pity he didn't play more minutes before the Rockets went down a black hole.), his last plays are a nightmare, the offense is stagnant under his direction and worst of all, he's the first that comes to mind when it comes to "just not caring"; we all know his passive, laissez-faire style.

I'm not advocating firing him or anything, but he has to be accountable for some of the blame. This is the most talented Rockets roster in years and it is not going anywhere good under his direction. He still has the rest of the year to fix things up, but as of now, if he's not part of the the solution, he's part of the problem.

The solution is to damage Tmacs ego I think. He's a wuss off of the court too.
Bench him and prove your point with someone else.

Tell him that when he is earning his check, he will start.

tell the other guys to not defer to him or you will get benched as well.

tell him we will fine him if the doctors say he can play but he won't.

GO EVERY NIGHT AS IF HE DOESN"T EXIST AND GAME PLAN ACCORDINGLY

PUT A PLAYER IN THERE THAT MAKES HIM LOOK BAD BY PLAYING HARD EVERY NIGHT AND GETS ATTENTION FOR IT

ITS ALL ABOUT THE MIND GAMES WITH WEAK PEOPLE

The doctors only know so much. Your facts don't line up. If tmac were a quitter when times were tough, like in Orlando, he wouldn't be quitting now. This is the best rockets team to make a championship run in at least a decade, why would he quit now? Doesn't make any sense. His Orlando team sucked nuts and he knew they wouldn't be going anywhere, although that isn't reason to quit, it sure as hell isn't the situation going on here. There is obviously something wrong with Tmac knee, so why would you give it all now in the regular season, risk a season ending injury, instead of the post season where he has CONSISTENTLY been one of the best players in the league EACH YEAR. It is his team that has either been not good enough or injured. explain that

don't ask for explanations, 1616, because when the Rockets are rolling later this season, you know who will give his seal of approval...

There was obviously something wrong with Willis Reed too.

There was obviously something wrong with Isiah Thomas too.

I'm not making excuses for T-Mac, I think part of his problem is his just say quit attitude. But anyway, to be fair, both those videos are important playoff games deep in the playoffs, not games barely 1/3 into the regular season.

I'm sick of this "T-Mac turns it on in the playoffs" nonsense. That's worked really well for him in the past, hasn't it?

Would T-Quack play on one foot? Isiah is literally hoping around on one foot in that video and taking it the hole.

Stuff like that inspires your teammates. Eventually the Pistons won a championship, their legacy was toughness.

Oh same with the Rockets of the 90s, toughness and heart.

The mater of fact, I don't remember any NBA champion without a tough leader.

    Let's see.

    Magic
    Bird
    Isiah
    Jordan
    Dream
    Duncan
    DWade
    Billups
    Shaq/Kobe
    Garnett

All those dudes, never had the 'soft, premadonna, quitter' labels.

    Hmmm
