Excellent thread Tinman -- Adelman is not the problem. When you see your star player quit on the team it is absolutely demoralizing to the other guys. If Tracy is acting like he did last night in front of 10,000+ fans and a television audience -- imagine what he is doing at practice.

Yeah too bad it was hijacked by Dream fanatics, when it had nothing to do with him.

Hey I just got 93-94 DVDs for Christmas so Dream WAS great, but you could talk about a hang nail and some how Dreams name comes up around here.

    PUT THE TIME MACHINE DOWN!

he is not coming back to the team.

I THINK THE PLAYERS ARE NOT ON THE SAME PAGE because they are tired of the best players hurting the team with their injuries...... and injuries are officially in the psyche of this once hopeful team.

Its not just hard on the superstars and coach, its hard on the other guys as well who want to win. But its the same crap every year.

dude maybe you know and you are great nba fan who knows lots about this great sport.

but if you haven't realized, that's not the case with everyone else on here.

I mean you see people putting that lazy guy in the same sentence as Michael Jordan or Kobe or even Tim Duncan.

The only people who would put Duncan and that guy in the same sentence is the marketing people at Adidas.

It like saying, "If my aunt has balls, she would be my uncle". The rockets have upgraded the roster and if McGradey has the marbles & heart ... this season would have been special.

    Tolerate what?

taking the blame every day when you are trying and the other guys are settling for jumpers every game?

So Dream is in this thread or at least he is now.

Yao is like Franchise was when Dreams body could no longer hold up and still he had to defer to him because of the past even though Dream was not the same player, TMAC.

I'm sure its an uncomfortable position for both and the rest of the team.

Clyde was at his prime then, Tmac is a shell of himself and won't accept it to the point that he is will defer and make the TEAM better.

I DO NOT HATE YOU OR ANY ONE ELSE HERE
especially for differing opinions...... I value this debate and I know we both want the same thing. we just have different opinions how to get there.

He wasn't at his prime when he was with the Rockets.
He was in his prime when he carried the Blazers to the Finals twice.

He was an aging veteran. But the effort, the desire and leadership never changed.

Great thread tinman. TMac apologists keep making excuses for Grady and using Rick Adelman as a scapegoat. Rick is doing just fine except that he should have handled the quitter like D'Antoni handled Marbury.

You need to learn that basketball is a team game. Every single player/coach had a part in that finals run. It wasn't just Adelman, it wasn't just Clyde, it was Porter, Kersey and all the other role players that made up the blazers.

Mabye Tmac doesn't have any heart right now because he knows he cant give it all or he will FURTHER INJURE himself. Crazy i know

I can imagine McGrady after going through the motions in practice, leaving the facility walking all slow to his car, fretted expression on his face, arriving home or meeting up with his boys talking about how Adelman's offense aint workin, needing to do more pick & rolls & screens up top or whatever... just being a downer like that.

Not saying its what he is like I really know him. But it wouldnt surprise me if he was "that" guy.

God knows TMac is not making this easy for anyone.

My only qualm is that as a great NBA coach, Adelman shouldn't be "not part of the problem", he should be "part of the solution." Even a "demoralized" Rockets squad should NOT be this bad, given the riches of depth the Rockets have acquired over the last two or three years.

Otherwise, why the f*** did we fire JVG in the first place?

Yeah it is a team sport, but if one of your 'leaders' quits, what does that do to your team's morale?

leaders lead by example. The Rockets in the 90s were an excellent defensive team. Who was their leader? hmmmm

Or look at the Celtics today, they hustle every play.
