Well keep believing your hero is just as good as Kobe then.

Get a coloring book and you can color in some fake championship rings and a MVP trophy too.

At this point you can't defend the guy. He looks like he isn't even trying out there. Now he could be I don't know how bad the injury is but he looks like he has no passion.

He's done and he knows it.

Against the OP (I'm allowed my opinion) I think McGrady with the Magic was a tad better than Kobe. McGrady in place of Kobe in LA woulda won titles. But a couple years better doesnt mean he's better overall. A couple years David Robinson probably had better numbers than Hakeem but you know who wins out in the end...

That was then. TODAY the point is McGrady is having issues with a coach, a SUCCESSFUL coach, who other great players never seemed to have any issues with. If you were to ask Clyde Drexler who's outta line who's side do you think he's gonna take?

The front office didnt meet with Adelman to tell him coach harder. They met with McGrady to get him to play harder. They didnt do that with Yao, they didnt do that with Artest, they didnt do that with Rafer or Scola. They didnt do that with Van Gundy.

The bad thing is nowadays there's no loyalty to coaches, and Adelman will get grief and will probably get shown the door before McGrady. When plenty Sacramento fans will tell you Rick Adelman should STILL be over there as a long term fixture like Jerry Sloan in Utah.

Phil Jackson wouldn't get his cryness out of the first round.

Did you even read my post? Rick Adelman made to the NBA Finals twice with Drexler.

You put that dude, any version Orlando, Houston JVG, Houston Adelman, on that Blazers team, and his lack of passion, that team wouldn't even make the first round.

oh wait, NONE of his teams made it past the first round!

There as NO HAKEEM on the Blazers. Drexler was their BEST PLAYER.

Your skills change as you get older, but your true character and desire for the game never changes.

And to win the NBA championship, its about desire.

No NBA Championship has been won with someone without desire and love for the game.

We got Ron Artest cause he's not scared of playing D on Kobe.
That other guy. Nah. He's about his points.

You really think if you put the 2005 Mavs Playoffs Tmac on this team replacing the Tmac we have now, the results will be the same?

I know the whole "It's on me thing", but in that series, he played amazing.

27/7/7 in Game 7 we lost be 40. Everyone else except him and Yao sucked.

LOL speaking of that game I found this quote. Remember this.

"I'm not going to hang my head. I thought we did a hell of a job this year. I'm 25 years old, and I got a lot more years in this league. I will be back next year."

I'm been very impressed with Yao this year.
He's playing really hard, we know he has his liabilities, but he doesn't care.

I'm PROUD that YAO MING is a Rocket. You can say his name with the other greats cause his heart is in the right place.

I might meet Drexler again next week. I do want to ask him about Tmac, I hope he doesn't give me a politically correct answer.

I liked when I met Dominique Wilkins that he told me that he whip all these youngsters butt.

yeah, but would you pay money to see someone quit?
what if you went to a concert and they stop playing the set cause the lead singer was tired?

    actually has happened to me.

Look dude, I'm not tryin to defend Grady, okay? I don't like his huge can of quit either. Just don't take a trip down memory lane to try and prove what we all already know.

I'm pretty much in the middle when it comes to T-Mac but you can't argue he steps up his game in the playoffs. Is he a clutch shooter? No and never will be but he dominates in the playoffs. Career playoff averages are 28.5 pts 6.9 rebounds 6.2 assists 1.3 stls 1.1 blks. What else do you want him to do?

My main beef is when it comes to let down in the playoffs T-Mac shouldn't be the one blamed or at least no where near the most blamed. He gets the blame because he's never got out of the first round but that has as much to do with his team failing as it does himself. Essentially our problem has been Yao and T-Mac step up in the playoffs but all our role players step down.

Oh and I think a majority of us would take Clyde over T-Mac any day.

Before every game they play an excerpt in the 42 years video of his press conference saying "I'm just looking forward to something great happening in the city of Houston. And believe me, something great is going to happen..." and I wonder what he thinks when he hears it.

Rick is not making me too happy with how he is handling things. And I especially dislike how McGrady is behaving. If Rick and McGrady don't get a handle on the situation, I feel for McGrady because it won't be pretty for him in the TC. If you listen to sports radio, Houston is tired of excuses and they've run out of patience.
