And we DO NOT have a Clyde Drexler.

We have this other guy on this team that half of you teenagers worship cause he was some scoring champion.

And to this day, I have no idea why you worship him cause of those years. I mean, did he win anything?

And stop, I know where you guys are going say. He NEVER. Repeat NEVER was on the same level as Kobe.

And I hate the Lakers since the 80s, before your mom met your dad.

    Stupid Newb Clutchfan:

I wish we had that guy when he was in his prime in Orlando. Guess what? we did get him in his prime. And the results were the same. two coaches.

    True Rocket Clutchfan:
We DID NOT get Clyde Drexler in his prime. And what happened? How did we win another title? an amazing run?

HEART, DESIRE, RUNNING LIKE A GAZELLE ON DEFENSE.

    So Newb Clutchfan,

    1. Clyde Drexler made it to TWO NBA FINALS with Rick Adelman.

2.The Kings got to the WCF and was one Robert Horry shot from making it to the Finals.

    3. Your idol had Doc Rivers, JVG, and Rick Adelman ( ALL COACHES WITH NBA FINALS EXPERIENCE)

so lastly for the "oh Tinman hates the new Rockets".
No. The Rocket fans deserve better than this we have pride unlike your hero.

    and yes.

DREXLER - anytime period in his career > That guy we got from orlando

It's obviously Grady's beard. He's never had it before, and has never played this bad.

these days players have way more control than coaches....

as opposed to the 80s and 90s

    this is depressing

im gonna go watch the 95 playoff run...

As far as I am concerned, they are both trash at this point in time.

Instead of growing hair on his face he should grow a pair below the waist! Right now he is just a freakin waste of space!

McGrady needs to shave the beard and bring back the leg sleeve. Only then will he fully recover.

We had a certain all-time great on this team. I think his name was Hakeem something or the other ;).

Edit: Didn't realize you were talking about Portland.

Pretty much every analyst will disagree with you there.

Tinman, i understand what your saying but your wayyyyyyyyy oversimplifying how each of those situations unfolded with each player/coach. Had Tmac had Kobes durable body Tmac most likely would be better. Had Tmac had FREAKING HAKEEM THE DREAM and great role players, he wouldve won probly more than 2 championships with the team. Aren't looking at the big picture

    Umm.....really??

If you could, find some webpages, links, something for me because i never knew that analysts compared Tracy to Kobe and that they were once on the same level.

    But from my own opinion.....
*first of all i am not a Kobe fan, i dont hate him, but not a fan*

    Heres the big differences

    Kobe
-wins games when for team when teammates can't help much
    -makes crazy impossible shots
    -have heart
    -play good d
    -doesnt make excuses

    Tracy
-wins games....when he is "healthy" which is like never
-#2 only happened like during his younger years, Kobe still hits those shots
    -no heart
-no d referring to the brandon roy game winner game
    -makes tons of excuses
    -always hurt

Paul Pierce is better than that guy too

Did you see how much heart he played with in the Finals?
He was playing defense against the best offensive player in the NBA, the freaking MVP

He didn't care about his shots
    He wanted that challenge

But But But Tinman, he's unstoppable but but

Yeah, so unstoppable that in the playoffs, Matt Harpring was the guy they stuck on him

Can you imagine Harpring on Kobe?

But Tinman, he was so awesome in Orlando?

What? you mean you think any of stat happy scoring games were better than

    SHAQ in ORLANDO?

His stint in Orlando was meaningless. it did nothing. Freaking Penny Hardaway was more important to that organization.

But Tinman, he scored 13 points in like 2 seconds against San Antonio in a regular season game.

Hey newb, how many rings does Duncan have?

Here's something for you. This is better than 13 points in 2 seconds.
This is beating San Antonio, when it really matters.

I saw the Drexler era Blazers with Rick Adelman.
I know someone who plays with passion vs someone who plays for himself.
