Let's face it. If he cannot start doing his 3 pt shooting tricks his low post scoring won't be enough.

He does not attempt that many. His percentage is a tad above average.

He had 2 touches tonight in the post, it led to 5 points, 2 for himself, 3 for Dwight. Saying that he should get more post touches is just obvious....unless you are a Rockets head coach apparently.

Goran Dragic showed one season with Phoenix that he is an allstar.

Is he an allstar in my opinion nah.......

You guys overvalue him and undervalue Jones. I get that.

The truth is somewhere in the middle. Neither is closing in on an allstar.

DMo could be helping but right now at his best he was playing very well but not a go to scorer.

Last season he was close to being a defensive anchor first and foremost.

    He was scoring above average.

Because the defense is not locked in on DMo who is playing 7 to 8 minutes.

If they knew that Euro is a serviceable passer then he would not be able to make those things.

The same things with Papanikolaou IMO.

He needs to start shooting and spacing the Floor.

That's one theory, but that doesn't explain why he was one of the most efficient post players in the NBA last year too. Any more attempts to downplay it?

I don't think Morey values a guy like Dmo because he doesn't fit Moreyball. This is why JB doesn't play him.

I did not downplay anything. You guys are just too old school. It worked better in the past.

Warriors and other teams have shown you need to shoot it and mix it up with a post game.

We have too many one way players to overcome that.

Dwight only good for rebounds and couple of blocks, Dmo only good for some hook shots, Ariza good for D and some bricks, Harden only good for scoring.

You get the gist of it

He doesn't necessarily have to score. But yeah score first and create from there. He's the best creator from the post on this team.

He is a Pops or Budenholzer kind of system guy.

If they have the system to better fit in a Euro player then he should be going there and looking at that.

No he shouldn't be. We would get outrebounded by 20 every nite with DMo starting. The opposing PF would abuse DMo. He's just not physical enough to play for long stretches. Yes he'll get us buckets but we need defense & rebounding

    Jeez this is so wrong.

He is a "GET HIM INVOLVED" guy, he worked great last year in the same system, but he was

    P
    L
    A
    Y
    I
    N
    G

That is what is wrong, the guy is just not playing....he needs time on the floor to get his rhythm and to gel with his teamates.

That's exactly inaccurate. He scores close to the rim and from 3. That's EXACTLY Moreyball.

"Bickerfail" has never had a healthy DMo, troll.

But what about defense and rebounding?

He's not there yet.... He can't rebound and his defense is a step too slow right now. We have Dwight, Capela, and Jones playing well and DMo is hit or miss as of 12/26.

It's funny that people keep talking about defense and rebounding without realizing that Jones plays on the Rockets while being terrible at both defense AND rebounding.

He isn't. We have a crowded front court with the guys in front of him playing better. It's not Rocket science... pun intended.

But you have to get him more than 7 minutes, he needs 15-20 every single night until he is ready to start.

There is no way of getting ready without playing time.

And None of our bigs is playing consistently well.
