Whatever 'it' is, Hakeem had it in bucketsfull, and that's why he's a Hall of Famer, one of the greatest to play the game. KG has mad skills, but just doesn't have whatever 'it' is. Like TMac. Shaq has it. Dunc has it. Kidd. Kobe, too (yes, I know). I hope KG and TMac both grow into 'it'.
Well garnett has the ability to shoot out to the 3point line. hakeem though was money from mid range on in and had a power/finesse post game. Those two components combined made him inpossible to defend. a quick fake and bump plus a fake and a defender had no idea what to do. If you mix garnett and duncan, you might have something close to hakeem.
Hakeem is a more versatile KG. Dream is still fastest big man I've ever seen play the game. A center with guard like speed. And not just speed as in runs fast. He was a quick jumper, had a quick first step, some of the quickest hands in the game. Pure speed in every sense of the word.
He did receive a technical foul for the push. However, Sam Cassell received two T's on that play: one for pushing Earl Boykins and one for throwing the ball at Kenyon Martin. KMart's T offsetted w/ one of Sam's T's, so that resulted in one techincal foul free throw for the Nuggets.
Damn he received 2 technicals in one play? I don't even think the refs noticed the first push on boykins until k-mart pushed cassell. They shouldn't call a tech for something they missed. That's BS!
