You Are Coming to a Sad Realization. Cancel or Allow?

I guess if I could drive my computer like a Porche and show it off, then I might. I just want something that can download MP3s and p*rn, rip DVDs, and what Macs do worse, play games.

Also, I don't always buy the best of the best unless there's a deal, but reliable name brands do matter. It's just that there's more to choose from and I have something to compare with when it comes to quality.

 

This reminds me of a Bill Gates interview I read a number of years ago that gave me a new perspective on the MS strategy and the reason for their dominance. Gates said that what people don't understand is that folks don't run Windows. They run Office. He said that he saw Office as the key to MS's power.

Of course that dominance was/is maintained through underhanded/illegal tactics. But all the same, technically Windows is just a cheap knock off of the Mac OS.

PS- After running Windows for many years, I don't use it much anymore, especially since I don't need it for work anymore. In my household, my wife dual boots OSX and Ubuntu and I boot Ubuntu (using Beryl as the window manager so I can get eye candy and interface goodies) and fiddle with Solaris. I don't even bother with Vista (which came with my cheap laptop).

 

I use the computer for music, forms of communication (Skype, e-mail, AIM) and fantasy sports. I'm not a big technology person, I just get sick of Mac users parading their products as if they know something other people don't.

Not sure there is such a thing as a "Windows fanboy". Microsoft users don't care enough about their product to go to the great means Mac users do to prove how slick they are... like you said.

i have a mac (powerbook) and a "pc." i like them both.

i find most of these commercials funny.

whatever. it's a computer. there's marketing. yay...

I get that... and I understand it has a ton to do with Window's so-called stealing from Apple... But, if the Apple had more to do with running the majority of the financial institutions of the world's systems, governments systems, etc... if the shoe was on the other foot... then more hackers would hack it.

There is no way that Apples are that sound against intrusion. Someone can break in I'm sure.
