I don't want to see Rocky lose in the end to a younger fighter. If he can't come out of retirement and win the fight along with all the hoopla training and music that comes with, then he shouldn't come out of retirement. If Rocky is "lonely", then maybe Adrian ditched this bum.

As far as the scenes between Rocky and real-life son playing his movie son, those are best left out of the script. That was painful to watch in Rocky V. "Home Team"....yooo.... . Plus, I didn't like how "stupid" Rocky was in Rocky V. I know the fighting has supposed to have killed some brain cells...but I can't watch him slur his words and be pro-stupid like he was in V. Well, hmm, he's been pretty stupid since the beginning. I think he was not as dumb in II and III, though. In IV, he lost all his money by giving Pauly the ability to sign away "power of attorney" or whatever...which he promptly did. Sigh.

If he was that stupid in V aka 1990, he should probably be close to mental r****dation in 2005, if they want to be realistic and accurate. But then again all of the Rocky movies remind me of soap operas and we all know how realistic those things are! :p

BTW - anyone else remember a poster here named "Apollo Creed"? I think it would be safe to say that Rocky IV was his least favored movie of all the Rocky movies. :D

That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw this. Great to have Weird Al fans around.

I think this could be a great movie. The premise isn't that far-fetched (think George Foreman at the beginning of his comeback). Anyway I watch movies for fun and really liked Rocky I-IV -- even the corny parts.

I will go see this movie.

is there a better 4th movie in a series than rocky IV? it's either the "top gun" of boxing movies or top gun is the "rocky IV" of action movies. both so over the top cheesy but done in such a way that they end up being epicly awesome, with plenty of quotes to go around (though top gun has more). it's kind of amazing how great the I-IV quartet is.

i hope they don't screw this up.

Looks like they are trying to get the feel of the original film -- good luck...

II and III were mediocre, IMO.

What?! III had Thunderlips AND Clubber Lang, AND it had Mick dying and Apollo training Rocky like a COLORED FIGHTER!

Rocky III is the best of the series!
