Yeah, I was wondering when someone would resurrect this thread. Josh and I will be there.

Stack, I'm still holding nothing but a raincheck for my camcorder so as of right now you WILL need to bring yours.

Alright so here's the list so far:

    Rush
    Clutch
    Josh

Sup guys...ahhh good to know basketball is right around the corner for us.

I went out Saturday morning and ran a few games at 24 hour fitness so I should be fine (hopefully)

I'll go ahead and bring my camera....don't know if anyone might have a tripod for a camcorder or knows someone with it so we can have some decent footage instead of choppy shaking footage and it would be eaiser to transition from offense to defese taping since we will be running back and forth.

I almost forgot I had it, but here is the scouting report for the guys we play tonight...

    - They are bad free throw shooters as a team
    - They tend to play a 2-3 zone and at times appeared to run a 1-4 zone which is strange but we'll just bring 3 men to the top to bring them out of that if we have to.

#42 - The offensive facilitator and plays with a lot of energy. He will look to penetrate off the break so we need to get a man on him as early as possible. When in the halfcourt he should be pressured when he has the ball, and he should be denied when he does not have the ball. Watch for him releasing down court after we make a basket. He likes to get easy buckets this way. Shutting this guy down should hurt them significantly, and should be our top defensive priority.

#21 - An unskilled player who will look to get his points in the paint. The only thing he appears to be good at is drawing fouls, so DO NOT BAIL HIM OUT. Let him shoot and miss.

#13 - A threat to penetrate as well as shoot. Perhaps an average threat, but a threat nonetheless. Standard one-on-one defense should contain him.

#3 - Not going to blow past you off the dribble, and he needs time to set up for his shot, so pick this guy up at the 3pt line with your arms up and he shouldn't pose a problem.

#17 - Very non-aggressive. He is right handed and does NOT want to dribble the ball. The solution is to pressure his right and make him put the ball on the floor with his left hand. We should be able to force some mistakes from this player.

Well guys, that's all I've got for now. I have this written down short-hand on the back of the stat sheet I'm bringing, so if you need to refresh your memory at the game then it shouldn't be a problem. See you guys there.

yea as soon as I get the stats and video I can update the site with recap and everything else....

anyone else notice they were really eager to beat us...kinda got the impression they are looking at us as the team to beat in the league. good game...and the only reason it went to double overtime was because no one could hit the outside shot...that shouldnt happen again...2 weeks off at the least for most of us playing so maybe a little rusty.

Good lord I apologize for the shooting tonight. No other way to put it except that I stunk it up. I figured if I just kept shooting that the percentages would even me out, but apparently I left those percentages back in 2005.

Anybody going to play at the apartments on Thursday? I think I could definitely use the practice.

    :(

Great win though. Everyone played their part and we were able to grind it out. Hopefully we don't have to win like that again, but a W is a W. :p

    1) the refs wouldn't call **** for us.

    2) the last play of the game was great. Solid D out there by yaowink and omegasupreme. They got a tandem block to end the game.

If Clutch is apologizing i don't know what i have to do i think i have to beg for mercy and apologize and a few other things. Only thing i want to remember is the tying basket i hit thanks to a great feed by Josh in between 3 defenders.

I want to definently forget my horrific shooting from the outside. Im definently glad we showed we can win even with our outside shot not working like tonight.

We should definently get into a routine of letting Yao work down low becuase i don't think there is anyone that can really stop him. That will in turn open us up for a lot more shots.

We played some gritty defense at the end, but i think we all made a few mental lapses on defense including myself. Either way good game, and i will start sending out apology letters in the mail to each of you personally :D .
