No offense at all to anyone that comes here wanting to join the team but if we have only one spot open then I think we need to hold it for someone with some REAL size. Say...6'5" 200+ with some athletic ability. It would change the entire face of our team. However, I'll gladly take anybody who has solid basketball ability because a lot of the time that's just as good as size. I just don't want to get someone because they are 6'3" 230 or something and they are just a huge waste of space.

Man, I'm really trying not to sound like a picky azzhole here, but you guys know what I'm saying?

i thought we already had our team...
    biggie
    stack
    kam
    macalu
    rush
mogrod(not sure if hes ready to play yet but figured hes still part of the team)
    omega
    clutch

it wouldnt hurt to get another big body down low to fill in for mogrod though...mogrod is our only big body that spends most of his time around the paint. omega and stack are other big guys but spend most of their time on the perimeter, which is best I think anyways.

Ya'll are definitely part of the team but this time around I feel that we will need a more consistent prescence. Your situation you explained to me doesn't bode to well for consistency and mike's injury makes him a question mark. It'd be the equivalent of us signing an injured playing knowing he's injured. Time is running out on registration too so I need to get the money in quickly.

Let me go get my big boots so I can walk through all the bullsh** you just gave us.

What a f***ing crock! Why don't you be man enough to at least give it to us straight, stop bullsh***ing around, and tell us you just don't want us on your precious team. Hell, you've been trying to avoid us playing with you since way back before last season.

And, WTF, I told you to count me in unless I said otherwise. Now I have been or about to be replaced! I might have not shown a lot on the stat sheet, but I damn played my heart out and did everything in my power to help this team win. I was down there fighting with guys twice my size (on one leg none-the-less) while your a** was chucking ill-advised 3's. I gave everything I freaking I had for these guys, and this is how I get treated? Like cheap garbage to be thrown out?

And, how dare you talk about more consistency with Rush. This has been BY FAR the most unorganized run team I have ever been a part of. You wait until the day of to post relivent information. Rush and I both tried to work with you to find a good practice court that we all could enjoy rather than paying $8/week, and you freaking ignored us. Hell, we were both there for every practice and game until my knee went down and he lost out on transportation. So don't give us that bullsh** about consistency.

If his name was Stack or ClutchCity you would be stroking his balls waiting for him to decide to play or not. He played well for us, he carried us at times the way he penetrated and scored over those big mofo's.

I have NEVER been more insulted in my f***ing life! The rest of you guys, it was fun and good luck. Omega, good playing with you and kick some a** bro!

Biggie, why don't you step away and let YaoWink take YOUR spot. The team would then be much better for it.

    i'm in guys

    just messing

you'd only turn your backs on us again, **** us over after we paid, and then boot us out of the league with some chicken**** excuses :)

will know never to participate in any basketball thread with biggie again.

    Same here.

And might I say this is all pretty damn surprising. I had no idea mogrod was so unhappy with the situation.

Hey mogrod, If I ever personally did anything at all to cause you to feel like this, I just want to go ahead and apologize. Sorry you feel this way man.

No, not at all! This is an issue with just Biggie. I apologize for bringing you and ClucthCity's names into it. I was just trying to make a point.

You're right. There is no reason to continue this here and I apologize to everyone for that.

Secondly, this is coming from me and only me. Rush is his own man and has his own thoughts. I don't know how he exactly feels about all of this. So just know I'm not talking for the both of us.

i don't know where this came from but from what i read biggie seemed to just want to know if you guys were in. i was curious myself. i know you are hurt and had surgery (or thinking about it) and rush didn't know if he'd have the money or transportation so it was a legitimate concern. i hope this was just a misunderstanding.

I would have gone to the game also if i had tickets because its a once in a lifetime thing.

the final "score" was 19-21. They started out playing four on four, and then they realized they better get another guy in there, and they ended up playing five on four. With about 2 minutes or so remaining, they used up all their time outs. That actually felt pretty nice though.

Seeing as we are getting **** off our chest, cool, I guess I can get some off mine. Pre end of June, I was doing well at the games at UH, and Rice. I mean, I wasn't the world beater and all, but I held my own. After the end of June, my heart wasn't in it. I just wasn't feeling it.

You guys remember the whole layup drill thing? Yeah.

I like playing basketball and I was thinking this would bring me out of the funk. Then getting beat down by these huge ass teams didn't help. Losing to those short kids at UH sucked also.

I'll be ready for D league.

This is an idea. Who wants to join the FT shooting event at the toyota center on Sunday? Get a chance to to be part of the celebrity shootout at the all-star game and while we're there we can go ahead and play at the park as well? Kill 2 birds with one stone.

Are you ready for some NBA All-Star Action? The All-Star Game is coming to Houston this February but you can get in on the fun this Sunday -- and it's FREE!

Come on down to the Toyota Center (use the Bell Street Entrance), this Sunday, Oct. 23 from 1pm - 4pm to qualify for the 2006 NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by Nokia Celebrity Free Throw Shoot Out. It's open to everyone -– kids, parents, grandparents -– that's right ... everyone.

Make the most free throws you can and the top shooters will qualify to play in the Jam Session Celebrity Free Throw Shootout held on Center Court at Jam Session in February. You'll be qualifying to play on the same court the All-Stars will be practicing on before the game.

Even if you're not a shooter, you'll have a chance to win some hot prizes including tickets, NBA merchandise and autographed items and meet 97.9 The Boxx's own G-Man.
