LOL, I love how an army of Yi fanboys comes out of the woodwork with insults whenever someone says the obvious.

I did watch the Nets last week. I can only watch when they play Boston--sorry fanboys, but I can't watch your binky every night because I don't have League Pass and regardless he plays for the one of the worst teams in NBA history.

Yi scored a few points. But every time he had the ball he froze for a few seconds, then jacked up a shot. Even Zach Randolph looks unselfish in comparison. He also missed at least two layups and was destroyed by a much shorter Glen Davis on the other end of the floor. He barely looked like he knew what he was doing.

Lopez is their franchise player. They need to trade everyone else.

I really want the guy to do well but he can't shoot or defend. His basketball instincts is way below average as well.

Brook Lopez (37 points) and Yi Jianlian (31) both recorded career highs, providing the Nets with the twin-tower presence it has sought for two years, while giving them their first winning streak of the season.

    Better late than never.

"It's good to see our work is paying off," Lopez said. "And we're going to keep working."

"We have two bigs who can shoot, play high-low, move around," Yi said. "It works."

Yi and Lopez were a combined 26-for-33 from the field, with Lopez adding 10 rebounds.

"It's a big step for us," Lopez added. "[Yi] has been really working. We really gelled together and it's improved. Now we get to the point where you can have us both in the game at crunch time and play off the two of us."

    Lopez 14-17
    Yi 12-16

Together they shot 80% out of 33 shots. Phooooweeee man, they dominated the Pistons.

Still not sold on either guy, especially Yi. I hope the Nets add a couple of impact players over the summer so there are some expectations on that team. Then we will see if Lopez and Yi can perform well over an extended period of time. Lopez pretty much already has, but not Yi. The entire Pistons game was garbage time, as is the rest of the Nets' season. Whatever either guy does the final few games proves nothing.

Lopez is a solid big man. Could probably become an all star center down the road, given today's scarce of quality big men. Yi on the other hand, would be fortunate to just stay a rotational player on an NBA team. He is still soft, shoots way too many long jumpers, and can't play much defense.

Agree with you on both, but I still want to see how Lopez would perform on a good team where the games always matter.

I traded for Yi on my NBA Live and now have a Yao/Yi combo at the front. They are killing opponents with countless blocks and alley oops.

Yi should avoid Houston, coming to the Rockets is coming to a situation of never being good enough. Plus Yi is known for having the exact opposite personality of Yao....Texas, not a great state.

The first couple weeks after returning from injury had me believin Yi might actually live up to the hype.

Lmao. wrong. He's about as soft as you can get for a 7 footer.
