Dude is in Wisconsin. He probably heard about that Deer Hunting incident where that nutjob killed all those other hunters after he said he was provoked into defending himself. So Yi is probably thinking..ummm maybe not the most friendly place for him to be.
You've obviously never been to Wisconsin. The state is prgressive and the people are friendly. VS. Philadelphia, NY, Boston Those places have a lot of Asians. But unfortunately for Yi, those Asians aren't going to drown out the 15,000 boos he gets when he can't create his own shot or everytime he misses a rebound. And the media will hound him.
If that's the case, what does that make slaveowners and genociders like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, etc.? And guess which country helped to finance and bring Hitler to power? That's right the U$A. Prescott Bush--grandpappy of the current ruler George W. Bush--and Henry Ford are just two leading examples of the American political establishment that supported the Nazis.
Why the ^&$@# do these thread have to turn into a political piss match? You childish nerds keep your holes shut!!! There is a freaking dedicated forum for you in clutchfans. We want to talk basketball here. Get out of here!
Yao and Yi has a nice sound to it Yi Jianlian is pushing for a trade to a city with a large asian community. The Bucks are fighting to convince him otherwise. I suspect Chinese government has an opinion on the matter as well. Why not offer a trade with the Bucks. Perhaps Battier and Landry for Skinner and Yi Jianlian. Yes, we lose a defense presence in Battier but he is our best trade bait. Skinner also provides a decent yet overpriced back-up center. More importanly we would have a fairly young combo in Yao and Yi with a lot of potential.
I doubt the Bucks will take just Battier. Plus I wouldn't give up Battier for anyone becuase then who guards all these tough perimeter players.
but then he would want to be traded to shanghai which i think has a slightly larger asian population. not sure, though, gotta check wikipedia.
I have never been impressed by Yi Jianlian. He is athletic for a big man...in CBA (Chinese Basketball Association). Judging from the highlights I see, he is only so-so compared to other athletic big man here. And he never dominate CBA like Yao Ming did, and I don't think he has the same work ethic as Yao. I recall that some time before 2004 Olymptic he told the reports NOT to compare him with Yao Ming (I don't think it was in a humble way). Of course we all know what happened in Olymptic: Yao established himself as THE MAN in the national team. I don't think they have problems with each other, simply because they are not on the same level. But I just don't think he is worth pursuing for Houston.
Yao and Yi has a nice sound to it? Hold on, let's see. Yow and Yee...Yow and Yee....Yow and Yee. No. Actually it sounds terrible.
