    Yeah they probably do.

Yi's got nothing on Yao, and he never will.

Let's give it some time. In the final analysis, Yi could be anywhere from mediocre to great. He brings some things to the table Yao does not. Unfortunately, the stance he's taking right now could end up increasing the pressure on him. If this drags on a while and he struggles next season, Yi could end up being a big target for unsympathetic fans around the league. Hopefully he will embrace the Bucks soon and get on with being an NBA player.

Now's the time to bring up the usual trade offers for anyone of interest for Rocket fans. We'll offer Rafer Alston, Sura's expiring contract, and Battier. Or we could just offer them 5 point guards straight up. I bet Yi would play in Houston and we could use his help at the PF position. :D

This Yi (to be precise, his agent) is simply stupid. Horrible.

The longer this drags on, the bad is going to be for him. Imagine the mockery he will get if he put up a stat like Yao did in the first game...

I would say that Yi is stupid to let his agent "kidnap" him. That Dan Feigen is super selfish and blood sucking, reminds me of Donald King.

I agree. It will just put unnecessary pressure on him no matter he stays or not.

I bet lots of ppl are already rooting for his flop so they can laugh at him.

Personally I don't understand why his agent and CBA insist Yi to play in a large market with a bigger Asian fan base, especially he is not that good, at least for now. Playing for a team like Bucks gives him more opportunities, more playing time and less pressure to succeed immediately. He is, after all, still a work in progress. He is not a finished product who can shine immediately. So why the rush? Give him 2-3 years, if he turns into something, then he can always turns to free agency.

To me, they are just too short-sighted. Yi should fire his agent, IMO.

Ok lemme ask you guys this one. Which one of you guys would voluntarily take a job in Milwaukee?

There is nothing in Milwaukee. Everywhere you look there is nothing but more Milwaukee. It's freezing cold in the winter. The city is known for what? Old Milwaukee Beer? Who wants to drink that swill anyways? If I had to take a job transfer to Milwaukee I'd have my resume out looking for ways to get out of it too.

He is doing what a lot of players do.....whine their way out of a place they don't want to play.

    Steve Francis
    John Elway

    And many others.....

    No big deal.

let me ask you this one...

if you were one of the few hundred people out of billions to have the privilege of getting to play a game you love and get paid millions to do it would you complain and whine about which team drafted you?

if you dont like where you are drafted you can leave when your rookie contract is up.

this guy is really getting off on the wrong foot - as bad as francis got it, yi can expect much worse. it is going to take him a long time to get beyond this.

Yi is a d-bag. Someone should tell him he's not good enough to demand trades.

I'll go on record as saying it now. Milwaukee is the worst city to live in of all the NBA cities there are. It's right up there with Rockford IL lol. Maybe Gary Indinana. whoohooo

but they are americans. these are foreigners straight up dissing our small markets. on top of that, David Stern needs to stop this cause this opens the door for crappy Greek, Senegalese, etc players to do this. can you imagine a draft where all the foreign players say they dont want to be here cause they want to play for the Lakers?

That Sun Yue scrub was happy as hell to be a Laker. You don't hear Chris Paul or Deron Williams hating on Salt Lake or Oklahoma City.

They can say whatever they want, and wish to play wherever, it doesn't change the rules.

Milwaukee still has the power, if Yi wants to play in the NBA or for a Fiba team he has to get their approval.

Being foreign is irrelvant, how is it any different than John Elway saying he didn't want to play in Baltimore?

welcome to the NBA, where you are a commodity and you will play where they tell you to play, where athletes whine and cry before stepping on to the court for ONE game...

    what a whiny little b****

I love Milwaukee. I'm considering a move in the next couple years and it is on my list.

if Yi can't stand bratwurst, cheese , and cold beer, then he should never come to the USA.
