From Buck's perspective, inserting RJ there still doesn't make them an elite team. I even doubt they will make the playoff next year.

Boki didn't teach yao nothing, except some video game tricks.

my favorite part about this trade was breaking the news all of the net fans wearing jefferson jerseys at the draft.

That's one of those things they should add on to those overplayed visa commercials.

"Your favorite player whose Nets jersey you were wearing at the exact time he got traded for a Chinese bust just to increase team marketing and then went home drunk and pissed off only to beat your wife....Priceless!"

NJ had already sold all the Jefferson jerseys they would so another factor to the trade had to be getting them to all buy new Yi jerseys now. ;)

At the end of the day Milwaukee still and will always suck! This trade will make them a better offensive team but they still left a large glaring hole on the defensive end. Adding Jefferson to the team will make sharing the ball extra harder, especially with Redd and Williams. Someone will be left out for sure.

Did you expect one move by itself to solve all of their problems? Take chill pill. Simmons is washed up and it isn't like Yi played any defense. Getting Richard Jefferson makes them a better team, period! This is a big step in the right direction for them. If you are a Bucks fan, what is there to gripe about with this trade?

The Bucks offseason has started well. Give them a chance to finish.

For Yi's sake i hope that he'll learn to stop being soft this season, or hes destined to be a slow SF and therefore mediocre.

Good trade for NJ. Since they're counting on big$, jayz, NY to bring lbj or wade to Nets adding Yi will only help that cause. Even if Yi doesn't get to allstar status by 2010, he like yao has millions of fanbase at China and shoe deals sponsors from china will fill up net's arena. So not only is nets going to a big market in new york, they're even going global with yi. This move will land nets owner way much $$ than richard jefferson playing there for the rest of his contract. So lbj by 2010 is looking at a hugeass contract, bigg city NY, friendship with jz, and devin harris, and global market teaming up with Yi and if VC is happened to be there.... only if LBJ is a dumbass would he choose cleveland.

I hear LBJ is even more popular in China than Yao and T-Mac. In fact, Lebron is one of the most sought after marketable commodities from the NBA over there. Lebron also took it on himself to learn some Mandarin and teaming with Yi in NY just makes more sense than anything else. By teaming up with Yi, Lebron taps into the huge China market and the Nets will become a huge team over there in China. Lebron already holds a huge shoe contract in China but this Yi teamup in NY in a larger major NBA market makes all the sense in the world.

200 isn't that much. I'd like to know how many were sold the next 7 days after the trade.

Chinese bust? Why don't we wait a few more years before we declare Yi a bust. I am in no way declaring him an all-star by 2010. However, the guy has some skills, good fundamentals, and athleticism second only to a handfull of small forwards.

I don't think that has made up for the thousands that have been canceled in the last few years.

How exactly is Yi a bust all of a sudden. He played very well for a Rookie and has shown plenty of upsides.

Yi certainly still have many upside and could be a very good player in the NBA.....

But his rookie season certainly did not show it. If anything else it showed the reason that he could be a bust if he doesn't work on his game.

Because right now all he could do is shoot face up jumpers, and even those stopped falling after teams found out that all he could do was shoot.

He was able to drive by slower players when he was in the Chinese League but NBA players are a lot stronger and faster, and Yi hasn't learned how to deal with it.

He needs to learn a post up game, how to take his man off the dribble, and also learn to move without the ball. From the few times I watched him play all he did was stand in one place waiting to shoot jumpers. And we haven't even started to talk about his rebounding and defensive abilities.
